Whole School Art Display

This year, our whole- school art display has been inspired by the street artist, Thank You X.

Each child has coloured a section of a cube using our school colours. Then one side of the cube represents one of the Seven Skills of the Steward, reflecting the values we strive to live out every day. The other side is a creative expression of the child’s own personality, interests and uniqueness, celebrating that everyone has something special to contribute to our school community.

When displayed together, the individual cubes form a striking collaborative installation, symbolising that although we are all unique, we come together as one school community, united by our shared values and commitment to being good stewards.

Year 4 held a bake sale this week as part of their RE purposeful endpoint which was to think of ways in which we can look after our planet🌍

They used their team-working and creativity skills to ensure the sale was a success and raised an amazing £140, all of which is being donated to WWF UK. They thoughtfully chose this charity to honour David Attenborough for his birthday as he serves as an ambassador for them.

Well done Year 4!

Year 1 have had a fantastic time designing and making their own sturdy pencil pots using toilet rolls, modelling dough and masking tape. We’re so proud of all their hard work and creativity—well done, Year 1! ⭐

Reception had a brilliant time at Sharoe Green Library 📗💚

Alison very kindly gave the children a welcome pack to bring home in case anybody was thinking of joining the library.

The children listened beautifully to the story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and enjoyed looking at lots of different books. They also did an amazing job walking to and from the library and were a real credit to the school. Well done Reception!

MYSTERY READERS!

Some of our KS1 classes have loved their recent mystery readers.....

If you would like to take part, please send a message to class teachers and we can offer you a date that suits you. You are very welcome to bring your own favourite story, or you can choose a book from our class library.

We hope this will be a lovely way to share a love of reading and build excitement as the children look forward to finding out who our special guest reader will be!

Thank you for your support 💚

In HRSE, Year 4 set themselves the goal of learning the song Little Blue by Jacob Collier. Through this process, they explored the importance of resilience and hope, learning how perseverance and a positive mindset can help when challenges arise. They proudly performed the song to the rest of the school, demonstrating both their musical achievement and personal growth.
