📣 Non-uniform day on Friday 📣

Don’t forget that Friday 22nd November is non-uniform day! In return for a donation for our Christmas Fayre on Tuesday 3rd December, the children can come in dressed in their favourite outfit.

You are always so generous with your donations, and we are hoping that this year is no exception. Could we please request the following donations from each class.

EYFS, Y1, Y2 & Y3 - Bottles for the bottle tombola stall (bottles can be anything…wine, shampoo, bubble bath, beer or even champagne!)

Y4, Y5 & Y6 - Mystery Jars (save an empty clean jar from something like coffee, pickles or a candle and fill it with surprises such as wrapped chocolate/sweets, stationary, little figures or tiny soft toy etc. Then wrap the jar so the contents are a mystery!

We look forward to seeing you all at the Fayre on Tuesday 3rd December at 3.45pm after school, stall tokens can be bought from the school office or on the day.

💚 Asda Cashpot update 💚

There is already £195.62 in the school Cashpot. Thank you to everyone who has registered or shopped at Asda so far!

Cashpots are open until the end of November so if you haven’t already added Lea Community Primary School as your nominated school it’s not too late.

Asda add £1 to the Cashpot every time someone nominates the school on the Asda Rewards app and then 0.5% of the value of every qualifying purchase online and in-store.

To sign up download the Asda Rewards app and follow the in-app instructions to nominate the school. If you've already nominated school, please ask friends and family to do the same 🙏

Our Christmas Fayre is taking place on Tuesday 3rd December 2024 and we're looking for amazing raffle prizes to make it extra special. 🎁

If you're a local business and would like to support our school community, please consider donating a prize or voucher. Your generosity will help us raise funds for essential school resources.

🎉 We're thrilled to announce that we now have charity status! 🎉

This means we can now provide even greater support to our school and students.

Here's are some of the ways you can help:
🎁Donate items: We regularly need prizes, vouchers and other items for events and raffles. Unwanted but unopened presents, bric-a-brac and other items can help make a massive difference to our fundraising.
📆Come along to events: This is a great way to show your support the PTFA and have a great time.
🙌Volunteer: Share your time and talents to help plan and delivery fundraising events or help with other aspects of the PTFA.
❤Matched funding and workplace fundraising: Let us know if your workplace offers matched funding or other schemes to help to registered charities. This can help us raise more money in new ways so that we can offer school more support.

❌ Christmas Market Cancelled ❌

Unfortunately, we have had to take the decision to cancel the Christmas Market on Thursday 7th November 2024.

All stall holders have been contacted with how to claim a refund for their stall fees. If you have any questions about this, please email us at [email protected]

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause but we are looking forward to an amazing Christmas Fayre at school in December 🎅

Our Christmas Market is happening on Thursday 7th November 2024 from 5.15pm to 7pm 🎄

This is a great opportunity to showcase your products to the local community and raise money for the Friends of Lea PTFA, supporting the children at Lea Community Primary School 💛

Cost:
£20 plus a raffle donation prize (if you bring your own tables)
£25 plus a raffle donation prize (if you require tables supplied by us)

There is also a special discount for Lea Community families too. If you are a parent at Lea Community and would like a stall, you can book your place for £15 plus a raffle prize donation (if you bring your own tables) or £20 plus a raffle prize donation (tables provided by the PTFA)

The school cashpot currently stands at £134.28💚 Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far and added to the pot.

If you haven't already, Asda will give £1 to the cashpot just for signing up plus 0.5% of the value of any shopping you at Asda either in-store or online.

A great way to help school do more without costing you a penny 🙌

Parentkind – the charity that supports school PTAs and PTFAs - have teamed up with Asda, who is making millions of pounds available to donate to primary schools across the UK through their ‘Cashpot for Schools’ initiative.

All you have to do is opt in through the Asda Rewards app, choose Lea Community Primary School and shop in-store or shop online between 2nd September and 30th November 2024

Asda will donate 0.5% of the value of your shop to the PTFA and every time somebody opts in, Asda will give an additional £1 to our Cashpot

We have lots of plans for the rest of term with plenty happening around Christmas. Here are a few dates to get in your diary so you don’t miss out!

Wednesday 30th October 2024 – Halloween Disco 👻
Details of how to get tickets for the spooktacular disco be announced through school soon.

Thursday 7th November 2024 – Christmas Market 🎄
After the success of last year, we’re holding another Christmas Market between 5.15-7pm. Get in the festive spirit with local stall holders selling gifts, sweet treats and much more!

Tuesday 3rd December 2024 – Christmas Fayre 🎅
Our annual Christmas Fayre will be back with class stalls, games, voucher tombola and event a visit from Santa Claus himself!

If you'd like to get involved and help out at this terms events, the next PTFA meeting is taking place next Monday (14th October) at 4pm where you can find out more. If you can't make it on Monday but still want to lend a hand, please message us on Facebook or email [email protected] 💛
