Today, Kingsbridge Initial Teacher Training - North West, part of Achievement Through Collaboration Trust, was delighted to present a Collaborate Award to Mrs Shenaz Kanmi in recognition of her exceptional commitment to supporting and developing future teachers.
A HUGE thank you to Roe Lee Park Primary School for welcoming us into school to celebrate this special moment with pupils and colleagues.
Mrs Kanmi's impact was beautifully captured in a nomination from one of our trainee teachers, who shared:

We are inviting applications from schools and trusts looking to grow their own teaching talent while strengthening their workforce. Our Teaching Apprenticeship programme provides a cost-effective, practical solution.
π‘ What are the benefits to your school/trust?
βοΈ Develop existing talent
Support and upskill current staff, improving recruitment and boosting retention.

βοΈ Fees funded via levy
βοΈ With grants of up to Β£29,000 available. Per trainee, schools can access:
Β£29,000 for STEM subjects (Chemistry, Computing, Maths, Physics)

π To start a Level 6 Teaching Apprenticeship, candidates must:
βοΈ Hold GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
βοΈ Hold a science GCSE (grade 4) if teaching primary
βοΈ Have a UK degree or recognised equivalent qualification
βοΈ Demonstrate appropriate English and maths skills (support provided if needed)
βοΈ Be employed as an unqualified teacher in a school for the duration of training
