School's Out for Summer!

Today marks the end of the school year for most of our AtC schools, and we would like to wish all of our pupils, families, colleagues and communities a safe, happy and well-deserved summer break.

As another successful year comes to a close, we celebrate the achievements, friendships, memories and milestones that have made 2025/26 so special. Together, we have continued to Achieve through ambition and success, Belong by creating caring and inclusive school communities where everyone is valued, and Collaborate by working together across our schools, with families and our wider communities.

Thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families and, most importantly, our incredible pupils for making this year one to remember.

☀️ Just One Week to Go… Until Summer 2026 | Let's Make It Count!

The countdown is on! Just one week remains until the summer holidays.

As we celebrate the end of another fantastic academic year, we look forward to:

🎓 Wishing our Year 6 and Year 11 children every success as they move on to the next stage of their education.
🌟 Welcoming our new Nursery and Reception children into our primary schools at Hindley Junior and Infant School, Platt Bridge Community School and Nursery, Roseacre Primary Academy and Nursery & Thames Primary Academy and Nursery.
📚 Looking forward to meeting our new Year 7 pupils as they begin their secondary school education with us at Bowland High & Witton Park Academy.

We also take this opportunity to thank colleagues who are leaving us at the end of the year. Whether retiring after years of dedicated service or moving on to exciting new opportunities, we wish them every success and happiness for the future. At the same time, we look forward to welcoming new colleagues to our schools in September.

Congratulations to our Kingsbridge Initial Teacher Training - North West graduates who have successfully secured Qualified Teacher Status this year. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the contribution they have made to our schools and communities. The journey begins here! 🎒✨

Today we were proud to welcome our new cohort of trainee teachers and mentors to the Kingsbridge Teacher Training Programme Induction, bringing together colleagues from across our partnership schools with a shared commitment to developing the next generation of exceptional teachers.

There is something incredibly powerful about bringing passionate new educators and experienced mentors together in one room. The day was centred on connection, collaboration and a shared purpose as we explored the Kingsbridge vision of making a difference and took time to reflect on and define our individual and collective 'why'.

Our annual Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Mentor Induction focused on strengthening the support, coaching and assessment of trainee teachers. Together, mentors developed their skills in effective mentoring and coaching, goal setting, feedback, and building strong mentor-trainee relationships, all underpinned by the Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Framework (ITTECF) and evidence-informed practice.

A key highlight was exploring our mentoring feedback model, building the trust, confidence and shared framework that will ensure every trainee receives high-quality support from day one. In the autumn, we'll build on this foundation through Instructional Coaching, equipping mentors with even more powerful techniques to support teacher development.

The energy in the room was inspiring, and it's clear this cohort is ready to make a real difference. A huge thank you to all our mentors for their dedication, expertise and commitment to nurturing the next generation of teachers.
