Today, we stand together to recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and individuality of people with disabilities and to reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
As an Alternative Provision, we see first-hand the daily challenges many of our students face not just in learning, but in being understood. Too often, their needs, voices, and potential are overlooked. Every day, we work to change that by listening, adapting, and building an environment where difference is not just accepted but embraced.
This day reminds us that inclusion isn’t a one off event it’s a mindset, a daily practice, and a collective responsibility.
Let’s continue to break down barriers, challenge assumptions, and celebrate the incredible diversity that makes our community stronger.

Today, our learners and staff came together to mark Remembrance Day with respect and reflection. We watched the national commemoration on TV and joined millions across the country in observing the two minute silence at 11am.
It was a powerful moment to pause and remember all those who have served and sacrificed in the past.
Taking time to remember helps us understand the importance of courage, unity, and gratitude values we strive to uphold every day in our community.
We will remember them. ❤️

Anti-Slavery in the UK:
In 1833, the UK passed the Slavery Abolition Act, marking a major step in the fight for human rights and freedom across the British Empire. Campaigners like William Wilberforce and the abolitionist movement worked tirelessly to end one of history’s darkest practices.
But slavery didn’t disappear it evolved. Today, modern slavery still exists in hidden forms such as forced labour, human trafficking, domestic servitude, and sexual exploitation.
An estimated 130,000 people are living in modern slavery conditions in the UK today.
Victims often come from vulnerable communities both British and migrant trapped by debt, coercion, or abuse.
The Modern Slavery Act (2015) aims to combat this, but awareness and action remain crucial.
Ending slavery isn’t just history it’s an ongoing fight.
