Just received this beautiful video from an adult client I worked with until early last year.
She had played before but just needed confidence in her own ability and to develop her sight reading and own technique and style.
It’s genuinely lovely to hear that a student has continued enjoying playing on their own. It’s why I do this job, to give the life long skill of playing music.
If you are an adult and want to learn to play, it’s never too late.

Thank you for your patience and support in facilitating online lessons this week.
The car was finally collected today. Hopefully it won’t be long until it is back on the road again.

Just an update about last night.
I finished my last lesson at 7.45pm and driving home, had just driven by Weeton Barracks at 8pm and approaching the straight part of this road as you approach Singleton. A car coming the opposite way decided to use full beam towards me and just as it approached launched a missile from the driver side, directly at my car. I couldn’t see the car because of the full beam but could see the missile as it was thrown out of the car.
This ‘attack’ I feel was random, completely unprovoked and could have seriously injured me. Whatever the missile was (which I could see flying towards me at height), completely destroyed my light and took chunks out of the car bonnet. Goodness knows what would have happened if the missile had gained more height and gone through the windscreen.
This attack has now been reported to the police. We are trying to recover footage from my dash-cam and insurance informed.
Unfortunately, this driver will still be at large which should be concerning for all of us who live in the area. If anyone has any CCTV footage in the Weeton Barracks or Singleton area from around 8pm last night, that would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a long shot.
Maintaining timetables during poor weather, dark nights and traffic is hard enough without having to think about whether I should stay on main roads for my own safety. To say I’m shaken is an understatement. It’s making me extremely nervous about going back out on the road to work.
At the moment, the car is not drivable. I’m waiting for a collection from a garage and a courtesy car. The big thing for me is getting back out there knowing there are people willing to do this in our area.

To the car that decided to launch a missile at my car coming the other way through Weeton, this is the damage you have done to my car and my way of earning a living.
It’s completely wiped out my light and can’t be driven, significant damage to the body and is likely to cause disruption to multiple people this week including many children. We shall see if my dashcam can reveal who you are.
