Busy Bears Nursery

It's been a fun few weeks here at Busy Bears!

🛝We visited the park, developing our physical skills and exploring environments.

🍓We developed our mud kitchen area using a variety of resources such as sand, mud, water and a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs. Some are what we have grown ourselves at nursery!

☀️We also took a trip to our sister nursery Summerfield Day Nursery and explored new relationships as we met new people and explored their fantastic outdoors! We even met their bunny rabbits which was an exciting experience for all.

We've had a fun week of strawberry picking, ice cream making using shaving foam and food colouring, creating citrus potions and exploring natural materials in our mud kitchen.

We had an amazing morning for our school leavers!

The children (and staff) loved seeing Crazy Colin.

🚨 THE PRESCHOOLERS AT BUSY BEARS GOT A VERY MAGICAL START TO THEIR DAY! 🚨

This morning was my first Crazy Colin show at Busy Bears Private Day Nursery in Preston.

And what a brilliant group of children they were.

The show was especially for the preschoolers who’ll be leaving nursery and heading off to big school next year.

We had 45 minutes of magic, laughter, surprises and plenty of audience participation from start to finish.

But these shows are about more than simply keeping children entertained.

They give children the chance to build confidence.

To join in.

To express themselves.

To laugh together.

And sometimes, to completely surprise the adults who know them best.

After shows, I’m occasionally told that a nursery team has seen a completely different side to a child they spend almost every day with.

A child who is usually quiet might suddenly become the star of the show.

A child who rarely volunteers might confidently put their hand up.

A child might laugh, dance or join in in a way the team has never seen before.

Those moments may never have appeared without the unique environment the show creates.

And that is one of the loveliest parts of what I do.

Then, as we packed everything away, the room turned into a mini disco.

Because apparently one show wasn’t quite enough excitement for one morning. 😂

It was my first visit to Busy Bears, but I’ve previously performed at their sister nursery, School House in Blackburn.

And I’ll be back at School House again next week for another Crazy Colin show.

A huge thank you to the team at Busy Bears for making me feel so welcome.

And good luck to all the preschool leavers as they get ready for their next big adventure.

Big school is waiting.

But this morning, the magic came first. 🎩✨

Our school leavers zoo trips!

The children had so much fun seeing all the different animals and spending time with all their friends before leaving us to start their new journey at school.

We had a wonderful Father's Day Event. Thank you to all who joined us last month 🩵
