🏛️ Future councillors in the making? 🏛️

We were incredibly proud this morning to see Isabella and Jacob represent our school so wonderfully in their new roles as our School Parliament Leaders.

They joined 14 other pupils from 7 local primary schools at Fylde Town Hall, where the Council Chamber was taken over for a series of lively debates on topics including school uniforms, homework, school holidays and social media. 📖📱👔

It was a real honour for Isabella and Jacob to be invited to speak in the Council Chamber and to experience democracy and free speech in action. Standing up and speaking in such an impressive setting takes confidence and courage, and both represented our school with maturity, enthusiasm and pride.

The standard of debate across all the schools was extremely impressive. Pupils were also fortunate to meet the Mayor of Fylde, Cllr Richard Redcliffe, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire and the High Sheriff of Lancashire, who presented certificates to every pupil and school taking part.

Experiences such as this are a wonderful way for our children to develop their confidence, leadership skills and understanding of how democracy works — and perhaps we really did see some future councillors in the making!

A huge well done to Isabella and Jacob. We are very proud of you both and know you will do a fantastic job representing the pupil voice at Freckleton throughout the year. 👏💙💛

A lovely surprise for us this week! 💙💛

A huge thank you to our former pupil Gracie, who moved to St Michael's on Wyre CE Primary School last year, for getting in touch with us. It was so lovely to hear from you and to know that you are thinking of us.

Thank you as well for the stamp you sent — the class were delighted! Keep an eye out for the post, Gracie, as there will be a letter making its way back to you very soon. ✉️

We always love hearing from our former pupils. No matter where their next steps take them, they will always be part of our Freckleton family, and it is wonderful to hear how they are getting on.

Sending lots of love from everyone at Freckleton Church of England Primary School. 💙💛

⚽ 🏆 CHAMPIONS 🏆⚽ what a fantastic effort by our KS2 footballers who tonight won the league at AFC Fylde. We went undefeated throughout the whole tournament and conceded just the one goal. Each and every player played superbly and represented our school impeccably. We are extremely proud of them. Thank you to Carr Hill High School for organising another great event.
