Ranked 2nd out of 20+ SEN schools.
Built on resilience, driven by real impact. 🌱

A huge congratulations to The Three Chestnuts School, who came second place in the SEN school category at the Lincolnshire Show.

Their chosen challenge was “Growing resilience” — and they absolutely lived up to the name.

Throughout the year, pupils grew produce, researched and designed their exhibition stand, prepared presentations for the judges, created artwork, and even used their produce for cooking.

Nearly all pupils were able to attend the show, joining more than 61,000 visitors for two days celebrating farming, food and community.

This is what specialist education can look like.

Practical learning.
Real confidence.
Big moments.
And pupils feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.

Please join us in celebrating The Three Chestnuts team and pupils. 👏

She arrived scared, quiet and unsure.
She left knowing who she could become.

A former young person from West Stonegate recently put pen to paper... not to talk about policies or programmes, but about what it felt like to live there.

She wrote about the fear she felt at first. The trust that grew over time. The staff who helped her open up, discover new interests and recognise strengths in herself she had never seen before.

“They helped me discover parts of myself that I never knew existed.”

She arrived at 13 as a quiet Year 8 student. By 16, she was leaving with the grades she wanted, extra qualifications, new experiences and a stronger sense of who she was.

“I would never have been able to come out of my shell and become the person I am now without the help, care, and support of the staff at West Stonegate.”

Her story now takes pride of place in West Stonegate’s welcome guide—where the next young person can read honest words from someone who once stood where they are standing.

To the West Stonegate team: this is what your patience, encouragement and belief can make possible.

And to the young person who shared these words: thank you. Your story may help someone else feel a little less afraid of what comes next. 💙

They signed up for a 3K.
They finished with £1,300 raised and a TV mention. 👏

A huge well done to the team and young people at Castleford Lane, who took part in the Race for Life in Leeds and completed the 3K run in support of Cancer Research UK.

Since signing up, they trained, planned, fundraised and showed exactly what teamwork looks like.

The day was full of smiles, encouragement, laughter and that brilliant “we actually did it” feeling at the finish line.

Even better, their efforts helped raise an amazing £1,300 and Hexagon Care Services even got a mention on Yorkshire News.

Moments like this are never just about the event.

They’re about confidence.
Community.
Resilience.
And young people seeing what they’re capable of.

Please join us in giving Castleford Lane a massive well done below. 💙
