Our toddlers in our Rory’s room have been loving Handa’s Surprise! 📚
This week they got to taste the different fruits from the story — lots of happy faces, sticky fingers, and brave little tasters!
Such a fun (and yummy!) way to bring the book to life! 🍉🥑🍑🥭🍊🫒🥥🥝

We did it!
Together we raised £125.93 for UNICEF on World Children’s Day — a small act that will make a big difference for children who need it most. 🤝
Thank you to everyone who donated, bought our cakes and our fantastic team who made sure that our children had fun! 💙💙💙

Our preschoolers had an amazing, blue-themed celebration today — full of creativity, curiosity, and lots of joyful mess!

We splashed and experimented with blue water, discovering shades, swirls, and all sorts of watery magic. 💦💙 Then we got crafty with blue collaging, layering textures and shapes to create beautiful artworks our little makers were so proud of. ✂️🎨

To top it all off, we blended up a yummy blueberry smoothie together — the perfect sweet (and very blue!) treat for our busy explorers. 🫐😋

Today we celebrated with our little explorers as they dove into the magical world of BLUE! ✨

From glowing lights to bright reflections, our babies had the sweetest time learning, discovering, and playing with this calming colour. Watching their faces light up (literally!) as they explored was the best part of our day. 💡👶💕

Our little artists had a blue-tiful day celebrating with hands-on fun, messy play, and oceans of creativity!

From mixing blue paint into every shade imaginable to creating their own vibrant blue artworks, our Rory's were fully in their element. 🎨💙 We even whipped up a delicious blueberry smoothie together — the perfect tasty treat to top off our blue-themed adventure! 🫐😋

🎃 Halloween Fun at Fern Bank 👻

This week we’ve been getting into the Halloween spirit with lots of spooktacular activities! The children have loved:
🧡 Carving and decorating pumpkins
🎨 Exploring textures and creativity with Halloween-themed play dough
🥣 Making pretend pumpkin soup
🧙‍♀️ Dressing up and using their imaginations in spooky small-world play

Through these activities, the children have developed their fine motor skills, creativity, and language as they shared ideas and talked about their creations. They also explored early maths by scooping and counting pumpkin seeds, and built on their social skills by working together and taking turns.

It’s been a week full of learning through play — and lots of Halloween fun too!
