Charlies Tots Childminding

I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Cuerden Green (between Lostock Hall, Farington and Bamber Bridge). I provide high quality and flexible childcare within a safe and homely environment. I have been a childminder for 9 years and I am qualified to level 6 (Early Years Professional Status). Children enjoy a dedicated playroom with resources carefully selected to inspire imagination, creativity and wonder. A range of open ended resources, an abundance of natural resources and an inviting and homely play space encourages high levels of engagement, well being and communication. Creative and inspiring activities are provided inside and out and are tailored to children’s interests and development. Personalised care and routines ensure children feel safe, secured and welcomed as part of our Tots family. We go on regular outings and children are immersed in nature, physical challenge and social interaction in the local community on a daily basis. We visit parks, play groups, play centres, farms, rivers, nature reserves, woodlands, museums and community events. Children are encouraged to notice the world around them, to be curious, explorative and challenged. Children are immersed in nature on our daily adventures as well as being involved in planting, growing, preparing and cooking our own food. From scrambling eggs, to chopping vegetable for soup, from planting peas to peeling carrots, children are provided with the skills and experiences that form the basis of heathy eating, physical skills and understanding of food preparation. I develop a close relationship with parents and carers so that we effectively work together to provide the best possible environment and care for each child. Our routine and environment is flexible to ensure that each child is treated as an individual and provided with the best opportunity to develop their full potential.
