The Guardian University Guide has ranked our Forensic Courses 2nd in the UK! This is thanks to our incredible staff and students... great way to start the weekend! 🤩

On Thursday staff Forensic Sciences and Archaeology & Anthropology delivered lectures and tours for the Association for Veterinary Teaching and Research Work Annual Conference at The University of Central Lancashire - UCLan It was amazing to showcase our forensic and archaeological knowledge and facilities with fantastically enthusiastic delegates! Paul Langton covered Blood Pattern Analysis, Claire Hadley showcased our extensive CSI facilities, Jim Morris covered animal Pathology and zooarchaeology, PhD candidate Sarah Hunt discussed her Neolithic animal research, Judith Smith demonstrated the benefits of DNA analysis, Adam Baines gave a taste of expert witness experiences in the courtroom, Caley Mein talked about Taphonomy Projects and our fab Analytical Unit team showcased animal analysis in the unit. An incredibly passionate and knowledgeable team!

Sherlock Gnomes had fun at graduation today.... he tells me he's a BSc..... Bachelor of Science in Christmas! He also took "Elfies" with some of the staff!

Sherlock Gnomes has been exploring the UCLan Archaeology & Anthropology labs today, learning more about Rudolph's ancestors and looking at some other exciting artifacts!

Things have not gone well in JB Firth Building today. Sherlock Gnomes has been called to investigate a double desk drop; Mr Potato Head and Ginger "Dead" Fred. Did they fall or were they pushed? Sherlock Gnome is on the case!

We've got a new member of the team here this December! Meet Sherlock Gnomes, who has completed his Elf and Safety Training and will be working very hard across several disciplines!
