Good afternoon everyone,
We would like to start this post by saying a huge, heart felt THANK YOU to each and every business, company, individual that contributed to our fundraiser for a child in our setting who has been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
What started off as a phone call with the childs Mum to ask if we could do some fundraising and buy the child her favourite cushion from Ikea and some toys for her to play with at the hospital, turned into a huge fundraising day, courtesy of the Lightening Club at Warton who let us use their room free of charge. Alongside that, they provided a DJ and childrens entertainers. Thank you to Kev who called to arrange the room and the entertainment.
The number of donations we received for the raffle and tombola prizes blew our minds! Everyday we had emails, phone calls, Facebook messages galore and people turning up at the door, offering us something to use as a prize. Thank you to everyone that donated.
A huge shoutout must also go to The Manor Nursery School who came together to raise over £300 for our cause. Alongside Atletico Warton who raised £208 during one of their football matches and kindly donated it to the pot for the family.
In total we have raised a grand total of £4180.58 to be split between the family and 3 charities of their choice.
It is safe to say that the community of Kirkham really does pull together in the hour of need.

Just a quick post to say thank you to everyone who came to the fundraiser on Saturday. We will be putting a post up on Friday to say a really heartfelt thank you and to let you know how much we raised in total.

Our fundraising day is all ready to go for Saturday! We have a DJ, children's characters, hook a duck, food vans and so much more planned.
We will be selling raffle tickets until 2pm on the day so that we can draw this before the day ends at 3pm. Prizes include a wine and chocolate hamper worth £100, family days out, beauty vouchers and so much more that it would take us so long to list!
We have a live auction being held at 12.30pm with some of the items including: signed AFC FYLDE footballs and shirt, power washer and hose reel, plus many more!
If you do not have a ticket, but would like to participate in the raffle or the auction, please contact us.

The tickets for the fundraiser have now been passed on to the family for them to distribute. If you would like any, please contact them to see if they have any left.
We have been asked if we will be creating a GoFundMe for the family, as this would require us using names, we would not be able to do this due to GDPR but the family are more than welcome to do that if they wish. If you would like to make a cash donation, or bring in any raffle prizes, please feel free to do so this week.

Thank you so much for everything which has been donated and done for the family so far. We absolutely never expected so much generosity and have been so overwhelmed by the kindness shown.

Polite reminder:
We still have tickets left to our Family Fun Day on 23rd May to support multiple charities and the family involved in our recent post. Can we please ask that any further raffle prizes and donations are brought to us by the end of this week so that we can gather everything together.
Tickets will be opened up to public sale on Saturday 16th May.

Some amazing things have been happening behind the scenes at Tree Tots.
As you all are aware, we are fundraising for one of our children, following their LCH diagnosis.
We have been provided with a room at The Lightening Club in Warton to help us host an event to raise as much money as possible. As much as we would love to open this up to the community, we will be selling tickets for the event.
First to our parents and families in the setting, and then to the community. Family of the child are welcome to attend free of charge.
Please stick around to see if we have any left over tickets for sale.
Our raffle will also now be hosted at the event in May, due to the high volume of donated prizes.

Good afternoon all,

It is with parents permission that I am writing this post. A child in our Seedlings room has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as LHC. LHC stands for Langerhans' Cell Histiocytosis and affects about 1 in 200,000 children.

As you can imagine, we are all very saddened by this news and want to help in any which way we can! Therefore, next week we will be doing lots of fundraising to help make her stay in hospital a little more comfortable. If you, or someone know is able to donate a raffle prize, please come and see Steph in the office.
