The Oak Tree children have had a lovely morning.
We’ve walked to the farm shop to have our snack, then continued on down the farm track to pick lots of blackberries to enjoy later on. When we reached the end of the track we saw some chickens and cows.

👩🏽‍⚕️We watched how the food colouring in oil, reacted to the water, to make our very own lava lamp effect👨🏻‍⚕️

The Oak Tree children have had a wonderful first half to their day with a trip to Freckleton.
We visited the park where we had lots of fun and snacks, we then had a walk to the back fields for our picnic. After our lunch we walked down through the alotments and saw lots of animals.
The children were very excited to ride the bus and explore, we are now back at nursery for a well needed rest.

Thank you to Lytham Coastguards for coming to visit us and showing us what you do to help people. We had so much fun learning, looking at the safety gear and the best bit was throwing water at Beth!

Good afternoon everyone,
We would like to start this post by saying a huge, heart felt THANK YOU to each and every business, company, individual that contributed to our fundraiser for a child in our setting who has been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
What started off as a phone call with the childs Mum to ask if we could do some fundraising and buy the child her favourite cushion from Ikea and some toys for her to play with at the hospital, turned into a huge fundraising day, courtesy of the Lightening Club at Warton who let us use their room free of charge. Alongside that, they provided a DJ and childrens entertainers. Thank you to Kev who called to arrange the room and the entertainment.
The number of donations we received for the raffle and tombola prizes blew our minds! Everyday we had emails, phone calls, Facebook messages galore and people turning up at the door, offering us something to use as a prize. Thank you to everyone that donated.
A huge shoutout must also go to The Manor Nursery School who came together to raise over £300 for our cause. Alongside Atletico Warton who raised £208 during one of their football matches and kindly donated it to the pot for the family.
In total we have raised a grand total of £4180.58 to be split between the family and 3 charities of their choice.
It is safe to say that the community of Kirkham really does pull together in the hour of need.

Just a quick post to say thank you to everyone who came to the fundraiser on Saturday. We will be putting a post up on Friday to say a really heartfelt thank you and to let you know how much we raised in total.
