St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School

St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School is an Independent day school for girls and boys aged 2 -11.

It is owned by CPS (Preston) Ltd, and is a non-profit making charitable trust administered by a board of governors. It is a co-educational Catholic school welcoming children of all religions, between the ages of 2 to 11. The head is a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) and is recognised by the Department of Education and Employment.

🏐✨ A huge congratulations to our U11 Netball Team for representing St Pius so brilliantly this afternoon at the Preston Schools Division 5 Tournament! 🖤💛

With 4 visiting schools taking part, it was fantastic to see such impressive netball skills on display, wonderful teamwork throughout, and so many happy faces all round 😊👏

The girls played with determination, encouragement and great sportsmanship, making us incredibly proud both on and off the court. 🌟

⚽️The FIFA World Cup 2026 has officially kicked off! 🌍

To celebrate the start of the tournament, pupils and staff came to school wearing their favourite football shirts and enjoyed a range of exciting football-themed activities throughout the day! 👕🏆🎉

The atmosphere was full of fun, teamwork and football fever as we joined in the celebrations together. ⚽🙌

A huge thank you to all the children and staff who got involved and made the day such a success! 💙🌟 Let the football excitement begin! 🥳⚽

🌞 What an AMAZING day at Waddecar Activity Centre for our incredible Year 3s! 🌳💚

The sunshine came out for us, smiles were everywhere, and our children showed fantastic courage, determination and teamwork throughout the day! 💪✨

From taking a brave Leap of Faith 🧗‍♂️😲, testing their skills in archery 🎯, conquering the rock-climbing wall 🧗, to finishing with the ultimate team challenge through the dark, muddy Badger’s Warren 🦡🌑🤎 – every challenge was accepted with enthusiasm and resilience!

We are so proud of the way Year 3 supported one another, stepped outside their comfort zones and made unforgettable memories together. 🌟👏

Well done, Year 3 – you were absolute superstars! ⭐🙌

💛 Our Year 1️⃣ children enjoyed learning about 🔥Pentecost🔥, the special day when the 🕊️Holy Spirit🕊️ came to Jesus’ disciples. We explored the symbols 🔥🕊️of Pentecost and talked about how the disciples were filled with courage to share the Good News.

To help bring the story to life, the children made their own colourful 🔥Pentecost🔥 headbands, decorated with flames to represent the 🕊️Holy Spirit🕊️ They were proud to wear their creations and share what they had learned. ☺️👏

A BIG well done to our wonderful cross country team who took part in today’s Preston Schools Cross Country competition! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌟 Every single child gave their all, showed real determination 💪 and pushed themselves every step of the way 👏✨ It was wonderful to see such teamwork, resilience and positivity from everyone involved 🙌

Another fantastic day on our Year 6 residential trip! 🌟 Today the children tackled the obstacle challenge course 🪵💪 and worked together to build their own raft 🚣🌊.

It was wonderful to see everyone conquering fears, showing resilience, supporting one another and having so much fun along the way 😄👏. We are so proud of the determination shown by all — team work really is the dream work! ⭐🙌
