Check out Wiktoria Zegota’s project, named ‘The Stall’. She’s a student on our BSc (Hons) Architecture course.

Project overview, written by Wiktoria ⤵️
Wictoria employs architectural considerations of spatial, social, cultural and economic circumstances specific to Fleetwood, informing an architectural typology of production, learning and empowerment

A place within which to conceive and make artelacts of memory. relating tangibly and intangibly to ideas of identity and place. This architectural proposition will encourage local production that invests in a more sustainable and circular economy. In pursuing an architecture that can provide for this ambition, three core themes of artifact, making and community are constant companions to the design development from the outset of Made in Fleetwood and onward throughout the duration of the Semester.

Check out Alex Evan’s project, named ‘Stilt House Final Major Project’. He’s a student on our BSc (Hons) Architecture (with Foundation Year) course.

Project overview, written by Alex ⤵️
During the stilt house project, I wanted to make use of a more brutalist design approach, using simple geometrics and basic material pallets. the House itself is situated on the border of Avenham and Miller parks in Preston, so assessing and gathering information about the site was done in person via a series of site visits. when designing the house, I wanted light pe*******on and shadows to be a main focal point, using slimmer more private windows in the more personal rooms like bedrooms and bathrooms, and in the lounge areas utilising floor to ceiling windows, making for a more communal, open plan.
