This week the twos have been looking at colours and we all have an interest in volcanoes.
So today we made a colourful volcano explosion using baking soda and lemon juice.

Lovely morning out for pre-school. Enjoying some of our last adventures together!

Preschool went on their end of year trip to the zoo today. We had so much fun looking at all of the animals and we managed to see a baby elephant and a baby orangutan 🦧
Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the lion cubs as the mummy had hidden them away to protect them 🦁
We had such a good long day ✨

This afternoon the two room have been taking part in an obstacle course. Focusing on gross motor skills, climbing, jumping and crawling through obstacles and helping each other succeed.

This morning preschool visited the beach. We had lots of fun finding treasures in the sand such as shells, razor clam shells, stones, feathers and rocks. 🪨
We used some of these to create pictures in the sand and used our sand toys to create our own sculptures.

This morning preschool went on a lovely walk round yarrow valley country park 📍
We enjoyed looking for all of the wildlife and reading the posters that we could find. We found a kingfisher that people had been looking for for a while and a waterfall!
We finished off with a play on the park ✨

This morning preschool have been experimenting with bath bombs, watching the fizz. Exploring the smells and colour changing, and using pippets to carefully transfer water from one jug to another. We talked about how much, using words such as heavy, more, less and mixed colours to create new ones 🧪
