Grimsargh Toddlers

Grimsargh Toddlers Play group for babies and pre-school children with their parents/carers.

We are a community-run play group for babies and children up to school age - first established in 1983 by a group of parents who wished to meet other parents and carers from the village and surrounding area in an informal and supportive setting. We are based at Grimsargh Village Hall on Preston Road, situated centrally between Preston and Ribble Valley towns such as Longridge, Ribchester and Chipping. We offer a great opportunity for you to meet people in the same situation as yourself, while your child or children do the same. Grimsargh Toddlers meets on a Friday, 10m - 12 noon (all year round, except Good Friday)

The group and venue offer excellent facilities, including indoor and outdoor play, baby area, singing, crafts, story time, drinks and snacks.

It’s back to school next week! 📚 ✏️🏫

This means some of our volunteers can’t commit their time as much, or at all, with their little ones moving on to big school or pre school.

We can only open every week if we have a pool of volunteers to help run the group, setting up, helping with snack, and tidying up. We operate on a rota basis, with volunteers helping once or twice a month (you decide when this can be). The more volunteers we have, the more we can spread it out between everyone. It also gives us more flexibility when our volunteers take their much needed holidays or are off sick, so we’re looking for more people to help us!

If you can spare one Friday a month, or even one every other month, we’d really appreciate it! Drop us a message or speak to us in group if you can help or have any questions.

☀️ School holidays are officially underway ☀️

Remember we’re open throughout summer, every Friday 10am - 12pm. So if you’re stuck for something to do come along and let the littles ones play while you enjoy a coffee. Older siblings are welcome too. Only £3 per family!

Can you help us?

Our lovely volunteers help out every week but sometimes have other commitments, and with the holidays coming up, deserve a lovely break away. If we don’t have enough volunteers then we may have to close some weeks, which would be sad for our toddlers. We try our best to keep the group open every week (except for Easter and Christmas).

So if you find yourself free and happy to help 1 Friday a month, please do get in touch and send us a message!
