🎓 Our Year 10 students had a fantastic day at Preston College, taking part in a range of engaging taster sessions and activities.

Students embraced every opportunity, getting involved, trying new experiences, and exploring the wide variety of courses available. It was also a great chance to see the college's fantastic facilities first hand and gain an insight into future education and career pathways.

Well done to all of our students for representing Tarleton Academy so positively throughout the day! 👏

⭐ Student Spotlight: Ella ⭐

A huge congratulations to Ella Ingram in Year 9, who recently achieved fantastic success at the Heathrow International Aerobics Competition.

Competing against talented athletes from across the country and beyond, Ella demonstrated incredible dedication, resilience and skill, securing 2nd place in her individual category and 2nd place in her group category.

We are delighted to celebrate Ella's accomplishments and look forward to seeing what she achieves next.

We are inviting students to take part in a sponsored 2km loop around Tarleton on Wednesday 15th July to raise money for our Memorial Garden.

Students can join one loop during the school day by making a £10 donation via Arbor. All money raised will go directly towards creating a meaningful and peaceful space for our school community.

Together, we can make a difference.

🍰 A Sweet Treat for National Thank a Teacher Day! 🍰

As part of our National Thank a Teacher Day celebrations, we were delighted to receive a fantastic cake for all staff, kindly provided by our colleagues at Endeavour Learning Trust.

The cake was a much-appreciated surprise and a lovely gesture that gave staff the opportunity to come together, take a well-earned break and celebrate the difference they make every single day.

A huge thank you to our colleagues across Endeavour Learning Trust for helping us mark this special occasion and for their continued support of our school community.

🌍 Student Spotlight: Paul, Year 7 🌍

Today, we couldn't be prouder of Paul in Year 7, who confidently led our whole-staff briefing to launch his manifesto on reducing energy waste at Tarleton Academy.

As a student leader and eco-advocate, Paul is championing an ambitious campaign to reduce the school's energy consumption by 10% through a targeted focus on reducing waste.

Standing in front of an entire staff team is daunting for most people, let alone a Year 7 student. However, Paul delivered his message with remarkable confidence, clarity and passion.

At Tarleton Academy, we believe that student voice matters, and Paul is a fantastic example of how our students are helping to shape the future of our school for the better.🌱💡

🎓 Year 11 Leavers' Assembly Reminder 🎓

Firstly, congratulations to all of our Year 11 students who completed their final GCSE exam today! We are incredibly proud of the hard work, resilience and determination you have shown throughout the examination period. 👏

A reminder that our Year 11 Leavers' Assembly takes place on Thursday 18 June.

Students should arrive in full school uniform at 1:00pm and bring an additional shirt for signing. Yondr pouches will be collected on arrival and students will receive an ice cream voucher before enjoying shirt signing, a buffet and the Leavers' Assembly.

Students will be dismissed at the usual time of 3:15pm.

We look forward to celebrating with our Year 11 students and wishing them every success for the future! 🎉

Year 6 Transition Events – A Reminder for Parents and Carers

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to Tarleton Academy!

Please take a moment to check the upcoming transition dates and ensure you have completed the Google Forms that were sent to you. These forms are essential as they confirm your child's place and provide us with important information ahead of Transition Day and Summer School. The Summer School registration deadline is Friday 26th June at 3.00pm.

Please note: The Google Form links can be found within the Transition Letter sent to parents and carers. If you have not yet completed the forms, please do so as soon as possible.

📚 Year 10 Mock Exams – Reminder 📚
A reminder to all Year 10 students, parents and carers that the Summer 2026 Mock Examination Timetable is now in place. Please ensure students are aware of the dates and times of their examinations and arrive fully prepared with the correct equipment.
⏰ Important Information for RE and Music Students
Students sitting RE Component 3 (Islam) on Tuesday 16th June and Music on Friday 19th June will have an early lunch at 13:15pm.
