Comensus at UCLan

Comensus at UCLan Comensus is a service user and carer group based at UCLan, sharing their experiences of health and social care.

Comensus (Community Engagement Service User Support) is a service user/ carer volunteer group based at the University of Central Lancashire. For 10 years, we have invited members of the public to share their personal experiences of health and social care with students across different Schools to help enhance their educations. Comensus and SUCAG (Service User and carer Advisory Group) promote inclusion through multiple events too. The 1 in 4 Film Festival is an annual film festival held around World Mental Health Day. The dates for this year are the 10th - 14th October. We also hold community engagement meetings for services to share good practice, information and more. We are constantly looking for new volunteers to share their story so get in touch :).

Happy Film Festival Week Preston!! Here’s this years line up of the films we will be screening this week at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Preston and next week on the Burnley campus!!!
We hope to see as many of you as possible! The film festival is a service user and carer organised mental health event with the aim of celebrating difference to inspire positive change ! The festival is sponsored by the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at UCLan.
