The dandelion is the official flower of the military child. Just like dandelion seeds that are blown far and wide by the wind, military children move frequently but are incredibly resilient, adapting to new environments and blossoming wherever they are planted.
We work with some amazing families living and working on Weeton Barracks and this week we celebrated bees in Force Of Nature - Community Wellness Garden. This week on Wednesday we sampled dandelion honey.

Using nature to make cord. That is what we will be exploring at this month's woodcraft for wellbeing. This is an adult group focused on wellbeing through nature.
We would love more veterans or serving personnel or their family to come join us each month as we work through nature skills. If you know anyone or any groups please share.

Wild explorers had a great time today. Learning about shelters, knots and nature. We used tools to create beads with trees to add to our forest school bracelets made with over hand knots.
Thanks to the Social values grant from the Lancashire health visiting and social nursing team.

Bug house and shop improvements. The children of Warton helped stack and fill pallets with logs sticks, stones and more to improve a bug habitat.
We also found frogs, looked at tadpoles, tried dandelion tea and much more.
