⏰⌚This morning in Pre-school, we have been interested in the time! Following their interests, we decided to make our own clocks.
The children talked about their favourite time of the day - "my favourite time is tea time" "I like bedtime because mummy reads me a story" "nighttime"!
We also talked about the different ways to tell the time such as a watch, a phone and even Big Ben! The children learnt about number and enjoyed counting out loud ⏰⌚
Learning about time helps children by promoting:
•Math readiness
•Independence
•Security and routine
•Patience and self-regulation
•Responsibility

In the moment 🩻🚑🚨
This morning the children were inquisitive about a replica Epi pen we have in pre school. This opened conversation with the children about why we have Epi pens and what they are used for. The children took it in turns to administer the
pen. Each asking questions and opening conversation.
It gave us some fantastic words for our wonderful words boards.
🚨 Allergy
🚨 Adrenaline
🚨Wind pipe
We followed on with activities such as labeling parts of the body, making X-ray pictures and learning about what is in a first aid kit.

Preschool has been learning how to properly wipe their bottoms today, listening very well to Nina about how much toilet roll they should use, how many times they should wipe and where they should put the toilet roll once it wipes clean. 💩🚽🧻🧴
