From PG student to conference presenter 🙌
We’re proud to celebrate Martin Sellick, who is currently studying MSc Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence.
Martin recently presented his undergraduate research at the British Conference of Undergraduate Research 2026 at the University of Glasgow, an inspiring event that brings together student researchers from across the UK and beyond.
His research explored AI-powered entrepreneurship, asking whether AI can truly help non-technical individuals start and manage online businesses in the UK.
“Presenting to a room of researchers from across the country was one of the more nerve-wracking things I have done. I am glad I did it. A huge thank you to Maxine Rawlings for supervising the original dissertation, and to the University of Lancashire for the support on my journey.” - Martin Sellick, MSc Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence

Industry visit 🏨🗣️
We recently took 56 of our BA (Hons) International Business students to the Hotel, Manchester Airport.
They heard from key management figures at hotel group (RHG) who shared what life at RHG looks like, including their personal journeys, careers advice and how doing business in G7 countries is often quite different from others.
It was great experience for all 👏
