Are you interested in working in the community? Fantastic degree programmes with real life experience and international travel - recruiting now!!

The Centre for Volunteering and Community Leadership (CVCL) at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) offers volunteering and accredited learning opportunities for students! CVCL are achieved investors in the volunteers quality standard and work with over 300 community organisations both nationally and internationally. Every year, CVCL support hundreds of students to gain valuable volunteering experience to further improve their skills, knowledge and experience. We reward our volunteers! The Volunteering Award has been developed by CVCL to recognise the contributions of all our student volunteers. It is a thank you for the work, time and effort our students put into volunteering with us and the local community. As students build up and log their volunteering hours, they can achieve the following:
Bronze Award – 30 hours
Silver Award – 60 hours
Gold Award – 100 hours
Platinum Award – 500 hours
The Vice Chancellors Award of Excellence – 500 hours

In addition, student volunteers who achieve a Gold Award, or 100 volunteering hours, are eligible for an accredited Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Award called the UCLan Volunteering Project Development Programme. Other accredited qualifications are also available to our student volunteers, so watch this space!
