Science in Oak Class ⚡

Oak Class have been busy exploring electrical circuits in their science lesson. The children worked together to build their own circuits, using bulbs and motors to investigate what happens when a circuit is complete or incomplete.

There was lots of fantastic teamwork, problem-solving and scientific thinking as they tested their ideas and made changes to their circuits.

Children in Years 4-6 had a fantastic opportunity today, taking part in Mini Match Officials with Leigh from Referee Education Ltd

The children enjoyed learning what it takes to be a match official, developing their understanding of the rules, decision-making, communication and the importance of fairness and respect on the pitch. ⚽👏

A brilliant hands-on experience and a great way to build confidence and leadership skills. A huge thank you to Leigh for sharing his knowledge and making the session so engaging! 🌟

Mr Wentel’s after school football club kicked off this afternoon, and it was fantastic to see everyone getting involved!

Lots of energy, enthusiasm and teamwork on display as the children enjoyed their first session. We’re looking forward to seeing their skills and confidence develop over the coming weeks!

⛪️ We popped over to the church next door today for our weekly Collective Worship.

A big thank you to Reverend Bruce for leading such a lovely service. It was wonderful to hear such beautiful singing from our whole school! 🎶💛

We were especially proud of our Reception children, who behaved so beautifully throughout when it’s all so new. What superstars! ⭐️

Another wonderful week at school! 💚

There have been so many smiling faces, and it’s been wonderful to watch our children mixing, playing and making new friendships together at playtimes and lunchtimes.

Our Year 6 Gardeners have been doing a fantastic job looking after their Reception Seeds as part of our buddy system. 🌱🌻 But what has been especially lovely to see is how the whole school has embraced and taken care of our newest friends, helping them to feel happy, safe and part of our school family.

We’re so proud of the kindness, care and friendship our children show one another every day. 💙💛

What a wonderful first week back at Weeton St Michael’s! 💛💙

It has been lovely to see everyone settling back into school life, reconnecting with friends and getting stuck into their learning.

Walking around school this morning was an absolute pleasure. There was such a calm, happy and purposeful atmosphere, with lots of smiling faces and children already fully engaged in their classrooms.

A fantastic start to the new school year, we’re so proud of how brilliantly everyone has settled back in! 🌟
