Are your boardroom resilience strategies disconnected from reality?
Right now, boardrooms are talking about nearshoring, digital twins, and dual sourcing. These are vital conversations, but they operate on a three year timeline.
Meanwhile, your supply chain planners are dealing with immediate chaos.
They are the ones opening a spreadsheet on a Monday morning to find a container delayed by six weeks due to global chokepoints. They are the ones calculating which production run to delay, which customer to call, and whether alternative suppliers are still viable.
They are fixing the plan by lunchtime. Then they do it all again next week.
The industry has invested heavily in technology and long term strategies. But we are missing the most critical element. We have invested in everything except the people making the calls on the ground.
True supply chain resilience does not just come from software. It comes from empowering your procurement and supply chain teams with the right training, confidence, and strategic thinking to navigate daily disruptions.
Are you equipping your planners to handle the chaos?

27 peaks conquered. 187 to go!
Our Director of Education, Greg Jackson, is officially underway with his monumental August challenge!
This month, Greg is attempting to summit all 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District. To put that into perspective, this immense undertaking means covering approximately 320 miles and climbing around 36,000 metres of elevation.
After kicking things off on 1st August, Greg has successfully ticked off 27 peaks. The unpredictable British weather has certainly kept things interesting, throwing everything from severe sunburn to torrential rain at him over the last few days!
But Greg is pushing through these barriers for a cause that is incredibly close to his heart. He is raising vital funds for Dementia UK in honour of his dad, Keith, who is living with dementia, and his mum, who takes on the enormous responsibility of caring for him daily.
Let us show Greg the full support of the SRSCC. Every single donation helps Dementia UK provide specialist support to families who need it most. π
You can find the donation link below. Please leave a message of encouragement to help keep Greg moving forward on the fells!
