We’re delighted to share that we have once again achieved a five-star food safety rating following a routine inspection by Environmental Health last week.

This fantastic achievement reflects the continued dedication and excellence of our amazing cook Donna who ensures that every child receives safe, nutritious meals in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Maintaining this top-tier rating is a brilliant achievement and we’re incredibly proud that we have sustained this standard.

Here at Footprints we always like to hear stories from the children about what they have been doing during their time away from nursery.
One story included a recent trip to Morrisons which sparked lots of interest in where we buy all the different foods from.
The children planned their very own afternoon shopping trip to Morrisons to buy a variety of different fruits to try the next day.
We talked to the children about all the different shapes, colours, textures and tastes of the fruits they had chosen. All the children had a turn at cutting up the selection of fruits.

So much happening this week at nursery, including rhyming words and sounds (phonics) in preschool, Toddlers are focusing of shapes and colours and babies are exploring our emotions and feelings.

Rain or shine, the jackets are bright,
Stickman and Gruffallo brought to light.
Tucking into a healthy hot meal,
Testing out how the playdough can feel.

Splashing in puddles and messy play,
Counting to ten at the start of the day.
Muddy red wellies all lined in a row,
Learning how to share as our friendships grow.

Singing a chorus of "wheels on the bus",
Making sweet memories for all of us.
Phonics and sounds on the carpet at three,
Nursery life at Footprints is the one for me!

It's definitely a great day for water play today. We've already been exploring the water features in the garden this morning and we've got extra shade so we can explore more this afternoon. Lots of drink breaks and reapplying suncream.

We are having so much fun today, squirting everyone with water and having so much fun making the biggest bubbles we can.
