Following on from last weeks around the world topic Preschool set up an airplane and airport role-play for the children this week. This built up lots of communication, vocabulary, and social skills through fun, imaginative play. 🛬
The children will continue to look at different countries and the ways they can travel and explore some of these modes within our role play area.

For those families wanting to watch the Eclipse tonight here are some safe ways to see this amazing spectacular.

Toddlers have been talking about tonight's Solar Eclipse and how the moon is going to cover the sun. The Toddlers had lots of fun creating something similar with torches whilst talking about how to keep everyone safe whilst watching the Solar Eclipse.

Toddlers have been investigating a mystery object today. We've had so many conversations about who lives here, who made it, what it's made from and what it is used for.

We've thought about how many eggs can live in the nest, how big the birds must be and if the nest would live in a tree or on the floor.

Our discussions have moved on to where the inhabitants have gone and when they will return. We can't wait to see if we can spot anyone outside who would be missing their nest or to see if we can find anymore nests outside.

👣Happy times are never ending when we're playing and pretending.👣

Babies have been exploring how we celebrate each other and today we made 'birthday cakes' with our playdough. We added cocoa powder for an extra sensory experience of smell and pretend to put candles in and blow them out.
