Another milestone in Hadi’s journey to the Bar! ⚖️👏🏽

Earlier this year, we celebrated Hadi securing a Criminal Law pupillage at Nine Chambers, starting in 2027.

Now, we’re delighted to celebrate another fantastic achievement as Hadi has been called to the Bar after successfully completing his Bar Training Course with Distinction.

Reflecting on the moment, Hadi shared:

“Hearing the names of the University of Lancashire and Lebanon, called out during the ceremony, reminded me of how far I have come and the people who have supported me every step of the way.”

Welcome Week has brought plenty of energy to campus, from Freshers’ Fair and getting involved with activities to meeting new people and settling into university life…

We’ve loved seeing our new students getting stuck into everything campus has to offer and starting the new academic year with us 🤩

Our Forensic Science students get the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice in realistic crime scene environments, including our on-campus CSI Flats.

From examining evidence to investigating a scene, practical experiences like these help bring learning to life and give students the opportunity to develop the skills needed for their future careers.

Future investigators in the making? 🔍🕵️

Last month, we welcomed Police Cadets from Blackpool and Fleetwood to the University of Lancashire for a day of hands-on learning.

The cadets spent time in our Crime Scene Garages, getting stuck into fingerprinting activities and experiencing some of the practical facilities available to our students.

Visits like these give young people the opportunity to explore Higher Education, discover where their interests could take them and see what studying subjects such as Policing, Criminology and Forensic Science can offer.

Celebrating three years of

Next Wednesday, we’re celebrating three years of the StyleforStyal project - an initiative supporting women at HMP Styal through the donation of preloved clothing, helping empower women as they prepare for life beyond prison.

The event will bring together partners and professionals to celebrate the project’s impact, with keynote speaker Kerry Daynes and opportunities to connect and share ideas.

For our students, opportunities to engage with real-world projects like this provide valuable insight into the people, organisations and issues at the heart of careers across Law, Policing and Criminology.
