Year 6 have been interpreting religious art linked to Holy Week. These are some of their own pieces, created with scripture, emotion and use of colour in mind.

Wonderful book themed hats poured into school, on Thursday, for World Book Day. Reading cafes in the classrooms and a St Catherine's Hospice book sale, all helped to make the day memorable. Well done to the voucher winners for some amazing hat creations.

Last week the School Council ran a kindness club at lunchtime for all of Year 2. We coloured some beautiful pictures, wrote recipes for kindness and wrote some Positive Post-its to display in Year 2 👍

Last week Year 2 enjoyed their visit to Clitheroe Castle where they showcased all of their history knowledge about The Battle of Hastings and Motte and Bailey castles. They took a tour of the castle and then built their own!

A lovely evening was had by all last night! Look at all the amazing wreaths made!! Supporting our school and enjoying a festive evening!
For anyone attending the Sunday wreath making, please bring an apron and a pair of secateurs if possible, thanks!

We have enjoyed lots of practical learning in Year 2 recently! From reading cafés in English, to The Exchange Game in maths and hunting for baby animals in science, the children have had lots of fun and engaged in their active learning well. Super work Year 2!
