We’ve had a lovely week settling back into nursery after half term. We had some exciting news on our return, we had five beautiful butterflies. We let them go into nursery garden and we even got to hold one as we did. Such a fabulous experience to be a part of 🐛🦋

Our latest expert of the week loves dinosaurs and recently shown an interest in fossils and excavation of dinosaur bones. Today we created our own excavation dig where children used brushes to carefully brush away the sand and find a range of bones and dinosaur skeletons. We learnt some fab new vocabulary and measured what we found, describing them a big, small, massive, tiny etc. This then led us into creating our own fossils, using coffee, flour and salt and chose a dinosaur to make an imprint, they look fantastic, what a fun filled Dino day 🦕🦖

This week we have found out our expert of the week loves the beach and going to the park so that’s exactly what we did at nursery. We spent the morning at our own nursery beach where we paddled in the water and built sandcastles and then in the afternoon we walked to the park and enjoyed an afternoon playing together in the sunshine ☀️
