No Flying at Northern Microlight School yesterday even though the weather was perfect as both Mark and Graham took part and successfully completed the BAE K2B. For the uninitiated this is a 40 mile walk starting from Keswick through the Lake District to Barrow in Furness. They would like to thank all those who sponsored them raising several hundreds of pounds for MacMillan cancer charity.

Lancashire Landings attracted many light aircraft and Microlights to land on the sands at Knott End, where participants could partake of some refreshments also make a donation towards veterans of the Lancashire Fusiliers. Many took part from St Michael’s airfield this photo “on the beach” was kindly donated by Phil Evans
