For Black History Day, Trumpets Class looked at the amazing life of Jackie Robinson. Born into a highly segregated society in the USA in the 1910's he never gave up and used his talent to fight against discrimination and racism. Importantly, he never used violence or bad language but let his star shine and left a legacy of overcoming barriers through determination and peace.

We are incredibly proud to share that our school has once again been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag for 2026 — with Distinction! 🏆💚

This award recognises all of the hard work carried out by our Eco Team and the wider school community throughout last year to make our school more environmentally friendly and to raise awareness of how we can all help to look after our planet.

Pictured are members of our newly formed Eco Team for this year, including some familiar faces alongside some new members, proudly holding our plaque and certificate.

A huge well done and thank you to everyone who contributed to achieving this fantastic award. We are very excited to see what our new Eco Team can achieve this year! 🌍🌱♻️
