As today is the summer solstice this has been one of our areas of focus this week. We have researched the history of the solstice and stone henge and recreated a model of it, made natural mandalas out of oak leaves ( this being the symbol of the summer solstice) and created dream catches in the colours of summer. We have also enjoyed some mindfulness activities designing and creating wood art to be displayed at our LSH art exhibition. 🌞🌱🌿

Life Skills Hub Limited Nature is Nurture

Today our YP embarked on creating a natural piece of art for us to photograph and display at our upcoming art exhibition Life Skills Hub Limited . We worked together to source the right pieces of wood and started our project.
This proved trickier than it looks to cut, to get the right length and secure in place, our student showed amazing patience and determination and we will continue this and show you the end result!..inspired by local artist James Brunt Artist

Wow, how amazing are this mornings group of students at FS?!..
Working together to cook up a treat! They listened to knife and fire safety instructions and displayed impeccable culinary skills following to work together to create their own lunch! At FS we have had a spring clean/tidy/plant up of our greenhouse area. Due to the lovely sunshine we have had lately our indoor space got slightly neglected as we have been enjoying the outside. Our staff and YP got stuck in, all hands on deck and revamped and planted up the beds, pictures will follow with the growing progress 😉 (Cooper, the foreman kept an eye on our progress!)
While we were busy beavering away we were lucky to notice a lovely mummy duck and her babies enjoyed exploring our outside area and ponds in the peace and quiet!🥰🦆🐥
