Our Year 3 children put their problem solving skills to the test with four exciting puzzle challenges! π§©π‘
Using clues, logical thinking and plenty of trial and error, the children worked with determination to solve each activity. Some puzzles were tricky and even a little frustrating, but it was fantastic to see everyone showing resilience, perseverance and a positive attitude. We were so proud of the children who kept trying until they found the solution. A wonderful lesson in the power of not giving up! π

Sometimes the simplest resources inspire the biggest imaginations! π¦β¨
Our Nursery children have been exploring Expressive Arts and Design by transforming an ordinary cardboard box into something extraordinary. Using open ended materials, they were free to create, imagine and express their own ideas through play.
Activities like these encourage creativity, problem solving, communication and independent thinking, showing that there are endless possibilities when children are given the freedom to explore and create. We love seeing where their imaginations take them! π

Building confidence one snip at a time! βοΈπ
Our Nursery children regularly take part in activities that help develop their scissor skills, an important part of strengthening the hand muscles and coordination needed for early writing and everyday independence.
Through fun, carefully planned activities, the children learn how to hold and control scissors safely while improving their concentration, precision and fine motor skills. It is wonderful to see their confidence grow as they master each new skill! π

During the summer term, our Year 2 children had a fantastic time visiting Longsands Primary School for a special session with children's author Jim Beckett.
They loved hearing Jim read from one of his books, discovering where he gets his ideas, and even helping him create their own wonderfully weird story! The highlight? Watching Jim turn their imaginative tale into a song, performed live on his ukulele! πΈπΆ
It was a truly inspiring experience that left our budding authors full of creativity and excitement for their own writing. πβοΈ
