π We are delighted to have been recognised by Lancashire County Council for our exemplary practice in Early Years physical development!
Recently, we welcomed Activate Lancashire to visit our Nursery, Preschool and Forest School as part of their research into physical development in the early years. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the exciting ways our children learn, move and grow every day. π
We are incredibly proud of our dedicated Early Years team and the wonderful opportunities they provide for our children.

π§οΈ With all the recent rain, we've been reminiscing about our Year 5 and 6 cricket trip to Rossall back in April!
Despite the wet weather then, the matches went ahead on the astro turf, and our pupils enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of Kwik Cricket. We were incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout. ππ
Here's hoping for some sunnier conditions for our remaining fixtures! βοΈ

π₯ͺ Year 3 HPSED in Action! π₯ͺ
Before half term, our Year 3 pupils put their communication skills to the test during their HPSED. They learnt how to give clear instructions before writing a set of sandwich making directions for their partner to follow.
The challenge? They then had to use only their partner's instructions to make a sandwich! πβ‘οΈπ₯ͺ
It was a fantastic way to develop teamwork, listening skills and the importance of giving clear, accurate instructions, all while having lots of fun!

π¦ Welcome home, Charlie! π¦
You may remember Charlie the Hedgehog, who was rescued from our school field a few months ago. We are delighted to share that he has returned to Highfield after a short stay in hedgehog hospital and is now doing very well!
Mrs Marskell has made a beautiful Hedgehog House for him and his friends to stay safe in our woodlands.
Our children will be helping to decorate the house by creating pictures, signs and even a name for Charlie's new home. We can't wait to see their wonderful ideas!

Everyone is incredibly proud to congratulate former pupil James Hill and AFC Bournemouth on qualifying for the Europa League for the first time in the club's history! β½π
This season has been a breakthrough year for James, making 28 Premier League appearances and contributing 3 assists. Since returning to the starting XI in December, he has become a key part of Bournemouth's defence, helping the club through a remarkable unbeaten run on their journey to European football.
From the pitches of Highfield Priory to the European stage, James continues to be an inspiration to our pupils and school community.
Congratulations, James. We wish you every success in this exciting new chapter! ππ΄β«
