I will re update the page shortly so please have patience. Thank you all followers old and new.
The page was originally set up as my university project to promote healthy eating in children and good nutritional practice.
I was originally using a marketing campaign of holding classes and parties for children. This was purely fictional and I have explained on other posts.
The links to "Kidscookinguniversity" STILL SHOW the full original project. This is NOT the current role of this blog and sorry to anyone who has enquired re parties etc.
This forum currently is to discus and promote articles and debates on nutrition.
I do aim now to develop my professional skills and gain recognised qualifications in nutrition and hopefully engage in other local and national food organisations to learn and promote childhood healthy eating.
I hope you continue to support the journey and I will post more soon.

Is it shame on the school for attempting to aid healthy eating? Or is the school trying to help but did not have the facts correct?

It's interesting to look at how childhood obesity has changed over the years. Is it due just to diet? Or lifestyle changes or just to parents not having the correct information to make decisions at meal times.
I refuse to use the term "uneducated" to refer to parents who do not know about "correct" portions/nutrition etc. As my research so far has shown the information it's not being passed to parents in a way that is easy to understand and adaptive to life. And even the "educated parents" often have the same myths imposed on them about healthy diets. π½π

Hi! Sorry for the lack of activity for a year or so. Life and family got in the way of blogging and research.
I am now back and looking to expand the page for a wider global network. πππ
So I will be using this page for my Masters postgraduate research. I will explain more over the next few days and show how you can also be a big part of the Kids Cooking world. πππ
Thank you for patience.

So here is a bit about myself.
I am a mum of 2 crazy children. Aged 3 and 5. Wife of one and we have a lazy bulldog too πΎ
I am a hospitality management degree student who studies food and beverage culture, customer service, marketing, among other things. I spent the first year gaining my level 2 food safety certificate and basic work risk assessment qualification. And I have learn principles of HACCP food chain safety. And basic cooking skills in a professional kitchen.
My original website for Kids Cooking was for a university marketing assignment about creating a business idea. So it will be changed to reflect this soon but I hope it gives you an idea into my food goals.
But as I have had lots of interest from like minded parents, I have decided to use it as an online forum of cooking help for families to use, and ask food and nutrition questions.
Hopefully the end result is to expand and fully have a working business as set out in the website. Having classes and parties available..... so fingers crossed for funding and expansion π
But for now please enjoy the forum and ask questions and join in recipe sharing.
Thank you
