📢 Summer Holiday Information

School is open daily between 9:00-15:00 and any lost property can be collected from student reception up until 12:00pm on Friday 21st August.

Equipment Packs Full equipment packs are available to purchase via ParentPay and will be delivered to students on their first day back after the summer holidays.

For families who only need specific items, individual pieces of equipment can be purchased from Student Reception during the summer holidays at the standard price.

The wait is almost over! We are incredibly proud of the hard work, commitment and resilience shown by all our Year 11 students throughout their GCSE exams, and we look forward to celebrating your achievements with you.

We strongly encourage students to collect their results in person. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate with friends and staff, and our team will be on hand to offer support, advice and guidance as you take your next steps into post-16 education, training or employment.

If you are unable to collect your results yourself, you may nominate a parent, carer or other representative to collect them on your behalf. This must be arranged in advance by emailing [email protected]. Your nominated person will need to bring:

✅ A signed letter of authorisation from you
✅ Photographic ID

We’re now welcoming new students for our Summer Intake, and your first session is completely FREE.

Whether you’re looking to improve fitness, build confidence, learn practical self-defence, or simply become part of a positive and supportive community, our classes are designed for all ages and abilities.

After an unforgettable few days, our students and staff arrived safely back home, with suitcases full of souvenirs (and French chocolates, sweets and baguettes!!) and memories that will last a lifetime.

From the spectacular shows at Puy du Fou, to the adrenaline-filled rides at Futuroscope, a peaceful river cruise past Château de Chenonceau, and two beach stops to cool off in the sea, this year's trip had something for everyone.

Before we left France, we asked our students what their favourite memory of the trip was... 💙

💬 "Getting soaked on the Bermuda ride at Futuroscope!"

💬 "I loved Puy du Fou, especially watching all the shows – they were amazing!"

💬 "I loved the dancing robot ride, even though someone (Cherry!) asked for the easier version so it wasn't as scary!" 🤖😂

💬 "Singing 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat' with my friends on the Bermuda ride!" 🎶

💬 "I loved all the theme park rides and making lots of new friends."

💬 "Singing karaoke on the coach journeys was so much fun! I also loved playing bingo, Guess Who? and all the games with the teachers. Mr Fern's 'facts' were hilarious... even if half of them weren't true!" 🎤😂🌳

💬 "Going to the beach on the way home was the perfect way to end the trip. The sea was really warm and it was so nice spending time there with my friends." 🌊☀️

Reading these memories reminds us that school trips are about so much more than the destinations. They're about building friendships, trying new experiences, stepping outside comfort zones and creating moments that our students will remember for years to come.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible staff, who gave up their time and worked tirelessly to ensure every student had a safe, enjoyable and unforgettable experience. We couldn't do it without you.

Finally, thank you to all of our parents and carers for your support and for following our journey over the past week. We hope you've enjoyed seeing just a small glimpse of the amazing memories our students have made.

🌊🇫🇷 Homeward Bound… with one last stop! 🇫🇷🌊

As our fantastic French Theme Park Trip came to an end, we made one final stop at the beach before beginning our journey home.

Students enjoyed a refreshing paddle in the sea, spent time with friends on the sand, and burned off some last bits of energy before settling down for the coach journey back to the UK. ☀️🌊

It’s been an unforgettable trip filled with laughter, adventure, and memories that will last a lifetime. A huge thank you to all of our students for their outstanding behaviour throughout the trip, and to our dedicated staff for making it such a success.🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

🎢🇫🇷 France Theme Park Trip – Futuroscope! 🇫🇷🎢

On Monday our students had an action-packed day at Futuroscope, enjoying some of the park’s thrilling rides and exciting attractions. From adrenaline-filled adventures to futuristic experiences, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

✨ France Theme Park Trip – Day 3! 🇫🇷🎢

What an incredible day our students have had at the spectacular Puy du Fou! 🎭⚔️

From breathtaking live performances and thrilling stunt shows to exploring the beautifully themed villages, our students were amazed by the incredible storytelling, history, and entertainment on offer. It was a day packed with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The behaviour of our students has continued to be outstanding, and they have been fantastic ambassadors for Ashton Community Science College throughout the trip.

After another fantastic day, everyone is looking forward to tomorrow’s visit to Futuroscope, where a packed day of adrenaline, exciting attractions, and immersive experiences awaits! 🎢🚀

🇫🇷 Our France Theme Park Trip continued yesterday with a relaxing and informative river cruise along the beautiful River Cher. 🚤

As we cruised through the stunning French countryside, students enjoyed breathtaking views of the magnificent Château de Chenonceau, one of France’s most iconic and picturesque castles, spanning gracefully across the river. 🏰

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the history of this incredible landmark while taking in the spectacular scenery. Another memorable experience for our students! 🇫🇷✨

🇫🇷 France Theme Park Trip Update 🇫🇷

We are pleased to let parents know that all students and staff have arrived safely in France after our overnight coach journey.

We made our first stop at the beautiful beach in Boulogne-sur-Mer for a well-earned leg stretch. Students enjoyed juice and pastries while taking in the fresh sea air, and there was plenty of fun with games of football and rounders on the beach.

Everyone is in great spirits and excited for the adventures ahead!
