You might have seen our earlier post about Colin, an estates manager from NHS property services and his family fundraising to help us provide a summer holiday club in 2027!
On Sunday 9th August they walked the 3 Peaks and so far have raised an amazing £1090!
We can’t thank Collin and his family enough and all those who have supported by making a donation. This will enable us to make a difference and invite even more young people to attend our holiday club next year.
Their giving page is open until Friday…

At Sir Tom Finney Community High School, we are always keen to enrich the lives of our young people. We are currently seeking to raise funds to provide a Summer Holiday Club in 2027.

We are extremely grateful to Colin and his family who are rising to the challenge of completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to raise money to fund the above.

Please follow the link below and support if you can!

Yesterday, four of our fabulous pupils represented the school in the Panathlon Deaf Kurling Competition. We travelled to Bolton Arena, where we competed against 5 other schools. Pupils did great teamwork, demonstrated fantastic patience, waiting their turns, and brought home the all-important (to them) medals!

Well done to the team; you have done us and yourself proud 👏🏼

Today is Social Media Day and is an opportunity to celebrate the platforms that have reshaped global communication over the past two decades. Today we recognise the role of social media in connecting people across distance, supporting movements and causes, helping small businesses reach audiences, and giving creators new ways to make a living. It also invites reflection on the harms of social media, from misinformation and online abuse to mental health pressures, particularly for younger users.
If you require any support, please contact school and we will connect you with the most appropriate member of staff.
