BBQ season is here and we can’t wait to enjoy eating outside again. Just remember a BBQ and the ground underneath it can stay hot enough to cause a serious burn for a long time after it’s been used.

So, stay alert and keep children well away from the cooking area until it’s completely cooled.

Please feel free to have a read through our nursery guidance on our safer sleeping practise for Early years.

All our practitioners and managers are currently attending new and up to date training on this subject through the Lullaby trust.

We highly recommend all our parents research and educate themselves on how they can encourage and support themselves with safer sleeping at home and in the car 🚗

This guidance supports planned updates to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, which should be made in September 2026.

Spring has finally sprung and we couldn’t be more excited. But as the days get longer and the weather starts to improve, new hazards for children emerge.

That’s why we’ve created a brand-new information page explaining the risks and the simple things we can all do to keep children safe from serious accidents this season.
