A huge welcome to our new first years 👋🏽

Our annual research day took us to the seaside town of Blackpool. We visited the Grundy Art Gallery to explore the Linder exhibition, photographed the town like Martin Parr and, of course, all enjoyed an ice cream from the iconic Notarianni Ices Blackpool 🍦

A perfect sunny day of research, setting the scene for the creative work that followed … 👀

Our final year have been out and about in Preston today with a research visit to Horrockses Fashion ‘Everyday Glamour’ exhibition. A beautifully curated exhibition about an impressive Lancashire brand. Stunning dresses, amazing prints, personal memories - plenty to inspire our current project! Very lucky to have this beautiful museum on our doorstep. Watch this space.

We had a brilliant day this week working with Fashion & Textiles students from Blackburn College We were hugely impressed with their creative thinking, future focussed ideas and styling tricks. They came up with brilliant ideas and strap lines from headphones that help you ‘Run the Beat’ to apple tech trainers, a Glossier water refresh for ‘Glosella’ and a new paddle range for crocs. If that wasn’t enough one brave group took on the challenge of perfume for Dominoes bringing us Garlic No 5! ⭐ A truly imaginative day! Thank you to all these amazing students for bringing their A game - we are looking forward to seeing you again soon. X
