Well done to Lily, Layla, Lacey and Lola who represented the U-15 Girls South Ribble football team in the Lancashire Cup final on Tuesday evening at Darwin FC. All four girls from Lostock started the game against a strong Blackburn side in what was a very tightly contested final. Blackburn emerged as 1-0 winners on the night but South Ribble played their part with superb effort displayed throughout.

Well done to the 59 students who represented LHA at the annual Stanley Park Athletics competition last Friday. All students performed exceptionally well and represented the school in a very positive manner.

The school placed 4th overall in the district, which is a fantastic achievement. A number of students also enjoyed individual success, placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their events.

75 Year 7 students enjoyed a fantastic visit to Yorkshire Sculpture Park on 9th June. They explored the grounds, interacted with a wide range of sculptures, and sketched both the artworks and the beautiful landscape.

Despite delays caused by heavy traffic, the students made the most of the day and enthusiastically embraced every opportunity to learn and create. The weather was on our side too, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone.

The visit supported our landscape learning journey, and we look forward to seeing students' best photographs and completed work booklets for rewards. 📸🎨🌿

Miss Lomax had an amazing opportunity in May when she was invited to Buckingham Palace as a guest, in her role as DofE Coordinator, to attend the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Celebration for the 70th Anniversary.

She said it was a huge honour to be invited and inspiring to see so many young people achieving their Gold Award. It is great to see Miss Lomax recognised for her and the positive impact she has on our students.

On Monday, 40 Year 8 students took part in a UX design workshop, where they explored a day in the life of a designer and created their own ‘Time Travel’ app. 📱

They showed fantastic creativity, teamwork, and digital skills throughout.

A huge thank you to Steve from Cambridge Press for leading the workshop for the third year running, our students were a credit to the school and made a brilliant impression. 👏
