It seems I may have been somewhat premature in highlighting the staff’s apparent reluctance to model our new hi-vis jackets.

Today, in a stunning display of teamwork, unity and collective fashion sense, they took matters into their own hands and conducted their very own modelling shoot — completely unprompted!

I’ll leave the hi-vis posts now.😁

Here are our stars of the week, new road safety ambassador, Y6 bike ability graduates, out of school adventurers, 2026 school councillors and a very proud football team captain.

Good afternoon,

We have been informed that United Utilities will be carrying out essential works in the field opposite our school building. The work started today and is expected to last approximately 3 weeks.

As part of these works, contractors will need regular access to and from the field, including the use of large vehicles and machinery. To help ensure everyone's safety and uninterrupted access, we kindly ask that school staff, parents, carers, and visitors do not park on the lane leading into the school car park.

We would really appreciate your understanding and cooperation while these works are taking place.

⚽👏 A Fantastic Example of Community and Leadership! 👏⚽

This week, we were delighted to hear some wonderful feedback about Seth, who returned to Strike Lane Primary School on Monday to referee their first proper football match on grass in over 10 years.

Dressed in full referee kit and acting with real professionalism, Seth was described as being brilliant throughout, showing kindness, patience and respect to all the players involved. His positive approach helped make the occasion a memorable one for everyone taking part.

We are incredibly proud of Seth for being such an outstanding ambassador for Carr Hill High School and the PE Department. Role models come in many forms, and Seth demonstrated the values we strive to develop in all our students: leadership, responsibility, respect and community spirit.

The partnership between Carr Hill High School and Strike Lane Primary School continues to grow stronger, with even more exciting opportunities for students to work together planned for the future. We love seeing our students giving back to the local community and inspiring the next generation.

**Hot off the press**
It seems the re launch of our football team has triggered a snowball effect across the Fylde. We are now trying to fit in a Y3/4 match against Holy Family in Warton. The likely date is going to be Tuesday 20th October 3.45pm at Strike Lane. Trials will be held early next week. 💚

Today we took delivery of our very swish looking high vis jackets. Sadly, the staff weren’t keen on modelling them!
These will be worn by all staff when outside on any playtime or lunchtime duty. Visibility is so important so the children know exactly where the adults are when they are outside.
