Changes at Euxton Girls FC

**CLUB STATEMENT**
Euxton Girls FC Annual AGM took place last night and we wanted to let everyone know about a few changes at the club.

After almost 20 years, Dennis Winn has stood down as Chairman. We want to put on record, from the committee, coaches and everyone associated with the club, past and present, our thanks and appreciation for all the time, effort, help and support as well as all the opportunities that have been created for girls to get involved with football. From just 12 girls and 1 team back in 2002, to over 300 girls across 18 teams and wildcats in 2021!

We’re pleased to say Dennis will remain an important part of the club going forward, and still a fixture on matchdays.

As a result, we're very pleased to announce the new Chair of Euxton Girls, as voted in at the AGM., Is Nicola Barker, Dennis's grand daughter, and one of the reasons Euxton Girls was formed for girls to play football.
Nicola is a fantastic role model to have within the club, but even more so as Chair of a girls only Football Club. We look forward to working with Nicola as we continue to provide a place for girls to enjoy football.

Two new positions were also voted in by the club:

Diane Moss will continue to build on the fantastic work thats already been done at the younger end and Wildcats space, as our Foundation Phase Lead and Wildcats Co-ordinator.
Dennis himself will continue to support the club in the role of Facilities Officer.

Thank you to everyone, players, parents, sponsors and supporters, for all their support and help over the last 12 months through difficult circumstances. For the club to receive the Lancashire FA “Grassroots Club of the Year” award, is testament to all the hard work that goes on, on and of the pitch, by everyone involved.
