The children have been busy over the past few months planting potatoes, radish, and onions 🧅, and they are now beginning to see the exciting first signs of growth! Watching their plants grow helps children feel proud of their hard work and teaches them the importance of caring for living things 🌱

Progress is finally underway on our nursery outdoor area and we couldn’t be more excited to see our vision starting to come to life 🌿✨

Creating an inspiring outdoor environment has always been something we are passionate about. We truly believe outdoor learning gives children endless opportunities to explore, discover, create and develop through meaningful hands on experiences.

This investment is about so much more than a new outdoor space, it’s about supporting our children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence and happiness. Time spent outdoors encourages curiosity, resilience, independence and helps children feel calm, regulated and connected to the world around them.

We can’t wait to share the progress with you all as it continues to take shape! The work is being completed by the wonderful The Wildlife Trust who also transformed our outdoor space at Acorn Wood Academy - Nursery & Preschool - Home Education in Leyland 💛
