💙 Year 6 Raise Awareness of Knife Crime 💙

Our Year 6 children took part in an important Knife Crime Assembly and Workshop delivered by Knowknifecrime.

They discussed the dangers of carrying a knife and the importance of making positive choices and helping to keep their local community safe.

As part of the workshop, the children wrote letters to our local MP, Mark Hendrick Mp Preston, asking for his support in raising the profile of knife crime in Preston and helping to provide bleed control kits in our local community. 🩹

🐧We have had a visitor in 1A! 🐧

When the children came into their classroom they discovered that someone or something had been in there while they were away. They had left us some clues on the floor: some footprints and some snow. The children explained what they saw and guessed who might have been in the room. They found out that it was the penguin from their new English text ‘Lost and Found’.
