🦋 Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful experience releasing butterflies into the wild! The children had the opportunity to observe the butterfly life cycle up close thanks to a “Grow Your Own Butterflies” kit from a Year 2 family. What a fantastic and memorable learning experience for everyone! 🦋✨

What an incredible day Year 4 had during our latest Red Letter Day: Clang, Crash, Create! The children became Sound Explorers for the Day, bringing their Science learning to life through exciting hands-on activities and creative challenges! 🧪🎶

Throughout the day, pupils explored how sound is made through vibrations, investigated pitch and volume and discovered how sound travels. Following this, they put their learning into action through a range of creative activities. From making tissue box guitars 🎸 and straw pan pipes 🎵 to creating paper cup shakers 🪇 and paper plate tambourines 🥁, there was plenty of creativity… and lots of noise too!

The children investigated, built, tested and performed, developing their scientific thinking whilst having fun and working together. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and imagination throughout the day.

A fantastic effort from Year 4 — we definitely made some noise and created some unforgettable learning memories! 👏

Year 5 Science Mode: ON 🧪🔥
Had such an amazing trip to Lostock Hall Academy for a hands-on science session!

We explored the states of matter by turning ice 🧊 into water 💧 and watching condensation form on a mirror 🌫️ — seeing solids, liquids and gases in real life made it all so much fun. And of course, the highlight had to be using the Bunsen burners 🔥

Everyone had an absolute blast learning through experiments!

Year 5 had their World Faith Red Letter Day on Friday 🙏 It was amazing!

The children completed a carousel of activities linking to…
Christianity ✝️, Islam ☪️, Judaism ✡️, Sikhism 🪯 and Hinduism 🕉️.

They were crafty and reflective.
They completed a passport reflection at each station and they loved it! 🛂

What a super day they had ✨

A very special week for our very own Mrs Riley, who had the honour of attending a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace!

Lieutenant Commander Matthew Riley (Mr Riley) was nominated by his captain in recognition of his outstanding professional achievements in his Naval career, and Mrs Riley was lucky enough to join him as his plus one 🤭

This prestigious annual Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace is by invitation only and was hosted in the beautiful palace gardens, with members of the Royal Family in attendance, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as Anne, Princess Royal.

A truly unforgettable day 👑

Busy little learners in Reception 🌟
This week we’ve been exploring doubling in maths using mirrors and counters to help us see our doubles clearly ➕🪞, practising the ‘ur’ sound in phonics 📚 and creating colourful masterpieces inspired by Paul Klee 🎨
So proud of all the creativity, curiosity and hard work in our classroom! 💛
