Fun making a picture with the loose metal parts and magnetic frame and also collecting the little washers and transporting them in the toy truck! Encouraging imagination, hand eye coordination, manipulative skills and concentration π

The children loved the minibeasts at nursery this week so I filled a barrel with soil, leaves and popped the mini beasts in to encourage some imaginative play.. however, they had ither ideas and took them to play in the water instead π they had a blast and other children joined in with the fun also π - learning the share and take turns, hand eye coordination, developing motor skills and encouraging language and communication π€©

π We've had another fantastic day at nursery today! Outside Fay had the brilliant idea to use the car tyres as targets for the children to throw mini beanbags in! Since throwing, aiming, and counting are involved, a bean bag toss game is quite interesting on a developmental level! π€©
πGross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and even the ability to count the number of points and compare results are also part of the fun!

πThe children are REALLY loving role play this week!! Role play is fantastic for learning in so many areas - communication and language, personal, social and emotional, understanding the world and physical development. Role play also gives children the opportunity to explore and express themselves in a way they might not otherwise .. we love seeing this β€οΈ

π We had a really lovely walk out in the community today looking at nature. We saw some ENORMOUS sunflowers π» most were taller than the children!! We saw some ladybirds π and we had a hold of them and counted there spots, some had lots of spots!! And we even spotted a caterpillar π down low to the ground, we think they mustve been getting ready to make a cacoon.
We smelt some beautiful flowers and named the different colours. They were all so good and listened so well so we finished off with a play on the park π Well done children π

π We have had so much fun creating pictures using the loose parts on the magnetic frames! We were making faces, and adding the different features we have!
πIf anyone has any spare loose parts lying around and would like to donate to nursery, that would be very much appreciated π
