New Beginners Class staring at The Broughton and District Club PR3 5DA on Thursday 1st June 2023 in the Wilson Room.

The course will run from 09.50am through to 12 - 12.3 pm each week for 10 weeks.

The cost to attend all 10 sessions is £50 with an optional Student Workbook from the English Bridge Union at £25

Last Thursday saw our first Evening Class for Beginning Bridge and by the end of the session all of my students played up to 8 hands of MiniBridge in Not Trumps - literally playing for tricks without a trump suit.

Already I could see some of the personality of each player coming forth. Some are caution but others throw caution to the wind and it is this ability to play how you want to play that makes Bridge so endearing.

The psychology of 2 pairs playing against each other while each still needing to communicate individually with their partner makes for interesting play - that mix of cooperation and competition that is fundamental in every hand of Bridge.

The good news is that there are still places available on 12/05/2022 and if you want to come along and have a look see at what it takes to start bridge then please be there at 6.50pm in The Wilson Room at Broughton and District Club PR3 5DA

New Face to Face Beginners Classes starting in October 2021

A new Face to Face complete beginners class with start on Thursday 14th October 2021 at the Broughton & District Club PR3 5DA at 09.45am.

This will initially will run for 10 Weeks.

Starting Friday 29th January at 10am we are hosting 2 hour Assisted Play sessions on RealBridge at a cost of £2 per session per player.
