Over the summer holidays, we’ve spent lots of time enjoying the sunshine and making the most of our garden! ☀️🌈

We’ve been busy making lots of muddy creations and delicious-looking mud pies in the mud kitchen 🥧🪣, riding our different bikes and scooters 🚲🛴, creating our very own obstacle courses 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️, and having lots of fun whizzing down the slide! 🛝

So many opportunities for outdoor play, exploring, getting active and, most importantly, having fun together! 💕🌱

☀️🌊 Summer Fun in the Baby Room! 🌸🐚

Recently in the Baby Room at Mini's Daycare Preston , we have been learning all about summer! Our little ones have been exploring the season through a range of exciting sensory activities.

The babies enjoyed creating beautiful prints in playdough using flowers and shells, exploring the texture of sand, and having lots of fun with our beach-themed sensory tray. As they played, we talked about the sea and the wonderful sea animals that live there, encouraging curiosity, language development, and imaginative play.

What a fantastic way to learn through hands-on exploration! 💛🌞🐠

As we reach the final term-time week of the academic year at Minis DayCare, we would like to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful parents, families, children, and our incredible staff for making this another truly amazing year. 💛

It has been a year filled with learning, laughter, friendships, and so many special memories, and we are so grateful to have shared it with you all.

To our fantastic Preschool children who are getting ready to begin their next adventure at primary school – we wish you all the very best of luck! 🌟 We are so proud of each and every one of you and know you will all go on to do amazing things. We will miss you so much!

Finally, a heartfelt thank you for all of the thoughtful gifts, delicious cakes, beautiful cards, and kind messages we have received. Your generosity and support mean so much to us, and we truly appreciate every gesture.

🎓✨ Last night we celebrated our wonderful Class of 2026 Preschoolers with a very special Mini’s Daycare Graduation Party! 💙

We had an amazing evening filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of fun. Our graduates enjoyed a delicious party dinner, danced the night away, explored and played at Mini Magees Play Centre, and proudly received their graduation certificates and special gifts.

To make the evening even more magical, we had a surprise visit from Peppa Pig, who was a huge hit with all the children! 🐷💕

We are so proud of each and every one of our preschoolers and all they have achieved during their time with us. Watching them grow, learn, and flourish has been such a privilege.

This week our preschool children enjoyed a special walk to our local café for snack time! ☕🍎
The children independently chose their own drink before confidently handing their money to the café staff to pay. It was wonderful to see them using their communication, decision-making, and early life skills in a real-life setting.
Afterwards, we all sat together to enjoy our snack, chatting and sharing the experience. These outings are a fantastic way to build confidence, encourage independence, and help the children become active members of their local community. We are so proud of them all! 💛

🌞 Recently at Mini's Daycare Preston ... 🌞
With the lovely weather we've been enjoying, the children have had great fun making their own refreshing fruit-infused drinks! 🍓🍊🥒🍋
The children independently used child-safe knives to carefully cut a variety of fruits, helping to develop their confidence and fine motor skills, before adding them to their water. We used cucumber, lemon, orange, strawberries, and raspberries to create delicious, naturally flavoured drinks.
After tasting each one, we all agreed that the strawberry water was our favourite! 🍓💧
It was a wonderful activity that encouraged healthy choices, independence, and plenty of sensory exploration—all while helping us stay cool in the sunshine! ☀️💚

Last week, we were delighted to welcome a professional photographer to the setting to capture a very special milestone for our children. 📸🎓
As we approach the end of another wonderful academic year, our graduating children proudly dressed in their graduation caps and gowns and posed for their graduation photographs. It was a memorable experience and a lovely way to celebrate their achievements, growth, and readiness for the exciting journey ahead.
We are so proud of each and every one of our graduates and look forward to sharing more special moments before the children start Primary school. ❤️🎉

Happy Father’s Day to all of our wonderful daddies, stepdaddies, grandads, uncles, and all the other special men in our lives! 💙

Over the past few weeks, the children have been busy creating some very special Father’s Day crafts using their handprints and fingerprints. They have loved getting creative and making unique keepsakes to show just how much they care.
