OFF ON A RETREAT.....

It's been there for a good while, that pull.

A knowing of what I need, of what I need to do.

A firm commitment to myself.

A self devotion of personal spiritual practice.

A deep coming into myself.

In kundalini yoga we often do a certain practice for 40 days. Why 40? To create a habit.

The pull goes further.

I am coming off social media both personally and for business for this period.

I need that break to enable the silence on yet another level so I can hear. Truly hear.

That's scary and yet exciting. I want to try things in my business differently.

To be of service to others do I really need social media to connect? Can I grow more organically? Without this platform can I trust word of mouth?

I want to go back to basics, to the fundamentals, to connection between each other through word of mouth.

Allow whatever to happen organically.

I'm curious to try things differently.

So it all feels right to do this, to experiment, to play even, whilst I take myself off on my own personal 30 day retreat.

AWAKENED WOMAN is still open!!

SUMMER SOLSTICE BLESSINGS.

Sending wonderful, warm blessings to you all this evening as we enter the celebration of Litha, the longest day of the year where the sun reaches its zenith in the sky.

The word 'solstice' is from the Latin word 'solistitium', which literally translates to 'sun stands still'

This is at the time of year of brightness and warmth.

This is a day of inner power and brightness.

Take some time this evening and tomorrow to find a quiet spot, perhaps in nature and also 'stand still'. Meditate on the darkness and light both in the world and in your own life.

STRAWBERRY MOON.

We are currently in the beautiful energy of the Moon in her fullness (peaked at 4.41am this morning) and this month it is the Strawberry Moon, where strawberries are ripe and ready for harvesting.

The Full Moon is in Sagittarius, which may feel like we are being given a message from our future self. It may come as a sensation or a feeling of expansion, or a knowing.

You may be feeling in an 'in-between space', knowing that your old skin is being shed, yet the new one feeling fragile and vulnerable.

Use the power of this Full Moon to enable you to let go of all that is no longer serving you.

Create some time and space just for you today or this evening.

Sit in the stillness and feel in.

Ask yourself what is it that you need to let go of to enable you to live the life you choose and want.

Write it down.

Burn it (or visualise it being burned).

Feel into the energy of letting it go.

Give thanks to the Moon and her beautiful energy.

LESSONS.....

Aah bu**er - all of 14 minutes and slapped - only the second one I've ever had in my life! I even saw him slap it on as I went to top it up, but system says no, can't do undo it...

Why? Because I'm rubbish at sticking to the rules and this afternoon I was going to park for 'free' at a cinema carpark, then my conscious and 'risk' of getting fined meant I drove to the nearest pay and display and ironically I got slapped with a fine!

Lesson 1 - I know from my akashic records that I have had numerous lifetimes in a convent and I still carry that energy of sticking to the rules, so perhaps this is a lesson in allowing some 'risk' and living a bit on the edge perhaps?

Lesson 2 - I was out meeting a good friend and we were talking about manifesting and how that sometimes can mean manifesting what you don't want - absolutely!!

Lesson 3 - I've recently finished reading Michael Singer's 'Living Untethered' and one of the main lessons is not attaching to the outside/exterior world.
I did not attach to this. I was having a wonderful afternoon of meaningful conversations, great company and baby cuddles. Beautiful energy.
I chose not to let this change that, in fact I laughed, laughed at the irony of it all. I chose not to attach to it and therefore let it affect my energy.

Money is energy also. This afternoon was worth every penny of the fine.

And as I relaxed into it, laughed had another cuppa with my friend, an elderly woman in the cafe came over initially to coo at friend's beautiful baby. She gets photos out of her purse to show us a photo of her three as young children many years ago. Then a photo of her husband who died only 3 weeks ago. She's come to the cafe on her mobility scooter, only the second time alone. The first time it ran out of power. She's tried again today and is proud to tell us its still got charge this time. She talks about adapting....

No money can put a price on an afternoon like this.

Heart warming and soul nurturing.

CRYSTAL HEALING.

Yay, after 6 months of intensive studying I received my certificate and I am now fully qualified.

It has been an intense course full of deep learning, growth, connection and awe.

The numerous ways in which crystals can support and heal individuals both personally and in their environment is so amazing.

Each crystal carries such a unique vibration and frequency, offering their qualities to aid release, growth and healing.

To connect, set an intention and allow them to do their work.

MAGICAL!! (yet there is science behind it too)

SPIRALS....

Over the recent years I have come to realise that life is a spiral.

Spiritually, the spiral translates into rebirth or growth. The spiral symbol represents the conscious of nature beginning from the core of the centre and thus expanding outwardly.

This is the way of all things. Including you and I.

Through my inner personal work and growth, I have been able to see that certain themes in my life I have revisited, or been led to again but always from a different place, with a deeper meaning, greater understanding offering the opportunity for more spiritual growth or healing.

Or.... to be brought back again to PURPOSE.

And this is where I find myself again with a deep sense of trust and that knowing kind of smile upon my face.

A period of synchronicities and signs from the universe and here I am now accepted to go back into health visiting.

From leaving school wanting to be a social worker ( I had never encountered one even though our family really could have done with one), to then going into nursing and progressing into health visiting - supporting families, especially women. That cycle of return....

So after 12 years out of practice I stand on the spiral and look deep into the core, the essence and see how I will re-enter the profession, this time as an AWAKENED woman - even more authentic, skilled and compassionate to help other women.

Just as I CONTINUE to do so here, through Awakened Woman Coaching.

This creation and blend of heart centred service means I can support and empower women in a variety of ways drawing upon years of knowledge and skills both professionally and personally.

For AWAKENED WOMAN this means that I will still be able to offer my services through coaching, yoga, reiki and NOW crystal healing (certificate on its way!) through a more scaled down diary and availability.

My FREE Wise Woman Circle will also continue - that safe space where women can talk, share, support and be held with love.

Exciting times!

BELTANE BLESSINGS.

Sending you all warm Beltane blessings for today.

Beltane, meaning 'the goodly fire' or 'the fire of Bel' is a celebration of the fertility and rampant potency of the life force.

This is the time to celebrate unisons of all kinds, fertility and manifestations of all different levels, love, sexuality and fruitfulness.

A time to be in touch with the instinctive wild force within and without, to be aware of the potency of the life force and its power on the physical, spiritual and mystical levels.

This is the peak of the spring season and the beginning of summer. The Earth's energies are most active.

Today is a celebration and honouring of fertility, beauty, love, sexuality, sensuality, sovereignty, wildness, attraction of opposites.

Beltane is best celebrated outside where you can have a fire.

You can also make a beautiful shrine with spring flowers and greenery.

Enjoy this magical day and evening.

HELLO THERE.....

Wow!!

Where has April gone?

Is it only me that feels like they've literally come up for air and then seen the date on the calendar?

I am so conscious that I have connected with you through Awakened Woman for some weeks now and yes I could go hard on myself and berate myself for not keeping up a social media presence but to have done so would have been disingenuous.

It wouldn't have been from my heart or my soul.

Not that I don't want to connect, I do. but with some personal stuff with loved ones that's been going on, I've really had to go deep inside myself, really step up and be there for others in ways that brought my own stuff up.

I had to have a rest from the external and social media is one of the things that has to go for a bit - doesn't make business sense I know. Me and business - another story for another day.......

More important is CONNECTION.

Unconsciously I need to reconnect to myself, pull on my inner resources and surrender to all what that brought up for me.

I listened.
So yes, April has been a time of digging deep for me and now I'm resurfacing, just like mole.

It's actually a week where I am showing up more in the external, a busy week of wonderful social connections, fun and joy.

Much needed.

So as we are heading towards the end of this month and I reflect, it's been a month of DEPTH, INNER RESOURCES and TRUST.

PERSPECTIVE.

Today I spent the whole day in Blackpool. It wasn't out of choice.

Car in garage and practicalities meant I was kind of stranded there. I'll be honest, I wasn't looking forward to the day, well, not initially.

I'm not a fan of Blackpool. I've had the odd enjoyable day there seeing it through the eyes of my children, but as an adult, no.

Having worked on the community there some years ago, I witnessed the realities of the dark underbelly behind the lure of the fun' resort. All the long term challenges that come with deprivation of a coastal town.

It also personally reminds me personally of divorce courts - a most unattractive 1960's concrete building. Nice.

It was going to be a long day, car in garage until 5pm.

It required a change of perspective.

I decided to play tourist. See it through new eyes. Of course the gorgeous sunshine helped, but actually, I chose.

I had CHOICE.

Choose to still attach that old dark energy that I have carried about the place for years, no doubt allowing it to suck my energy, never mind make the day feel even longer OR.....

Choose to change my PERSPECTIVE.

Literally look at it through a different lens.

It worked.

Beach walks, podcasts, writing, reading, fresh air, tea stops.....

Creative juices flowing!

It's all a choice how we choose to frame it, give it new perspective.

Today, on World Poetry Day, I'd like to share one of my favourite poets, Hollie McNish.

Her words are raw, real and unapolgetic.

She is comfortable in all the taboos of life, all the unspoken territories, especially for women.

She's owns it. Completely.

I find her SO inspiring.

And I'm going to see her next month. I can't wait!!
