Single income families are penalised by the “high income child benefit charge”, it undervalues stay at home parenting and benefits dual-income households that are likely earning higher than a single income one.

It’s been full steam ahead here at Our Carrying Journey! Online consultations, whilst they have their challenges, are absolutely amazing- the fact I’m able to help someone at the other end of the country from my office is mind blowing 🤯

This week I had my *first* 1:1 consultation and it was GREAT!
The mum I saw was a carrier and ring sling user but wanted to learn how to forward-face in the buckle carrier, and to troubleshoot the ring sling so it was more comfortable.
It felt so wonderful to be able to give the tools of comfortable and safe babywearing to this mum and I can't wait to share the knowledge throughout the community.

Hi everyone and welcome to Our Carrying Journey. 🤩

A little bit about me:
I’m Emily and I had my first baby in January 2022 and within weeks fell in love with babywearing. We started with stretchy wraps and have graduated to lots of other styles. There’s lots of facets to babywearing; how it aids with bonding, helps you get things done, a fashion accessory etc (more to come on the benefits!) and I love every single aspect.

Why choose Our Carrying Journey?
I’m here to help in any which way you need. It is not only our journey, but YOUR carrying journey. Whether you only want to use carriers in the short term or learn how to carry through toddlerhood, I’m here.
I want to be there for the expecting mothers, to learn before the baby arrives. To the brand new mothers who have been given metres of fabric and have no clue what to do with it. For the families, who wish to safely hold their little ones close. I’m available both in person and online.
