Forklift trucks are a hazard when working alongside pedestrians.
Did you know:
a. 1 in 5 workplace fatalities are caused by a forklift truck or industrial vehicle.
b. 27 people are killed in forklift truck accidents at work every year
c. 1 in 10 workplace fatalities are in the transport and storage sector
d. 1,500 injuries are caused by forklifts and other industrial vehicles every year.

These numbers could be vastly dropped by getting staff trained correctly.
Training takes for a Novice candidate between 3 to 5 days this would depend on the number of candidates, and competency of the candidates.

First Class Novice Telehandler Training
I recently received a 4 day Novice Telehandler training package delivered by Keith. The classroom sessions and safety briefing were well balanced, not overly weighted with legislation, but on point, backed up with safety videos.
There was plenty of time spent on the machine, learning all of the controls and functions and safety devices.
There was of course a practical driving test and a multi choice test paper.
All told it was one of the more enjoyable training packages we have undertaken, delivered in a friendly, patient manner.
Well recommended.
