πŸ… 1hr 28 + a 10 min PB on the Lune! 🌟

James blasted his way around the Lancaster Riverside Half Marathon in a fantastic 1:28:56 - 11th overall and a massive 10 minute PB ⏰

The race, which starts at the back of the George and Dragon Pub, has a trail vibe as it begins and ends over grassy fields before heading out to the smooth, pedestrianised paths towards Caton and Morecambe. 🌳 His strong muscular endurance and daily commitment to his multi-disciplined HYROX training truly shone through, with holding an impressive average pace of 4:11 min/km! Super strong in that 19 degree heat and not many runners to draft behind πŸ’ͺ

He had amazing support on the day from his loving family and even shared the start line with a good friend Ryan, who also finished with a personal best of 1:40!
What a fantastic way to wrap up the weekend! πŸ‘ŠπŸ™Œ

We’re now looking forward to a HYROX specific training block and can’t wait to see what other PBs can be achieved along the way! πŸš€

πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Not Your Typical Race Experience in Calpe! πŸ‚ πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

When the locals says there’s a free race going ahead but you get given a race briefing that goes like this:
1. Race Fast
2. Race Safe
3. Don’t Die

You know it’s going to be not your standard 5km! πŸ˜‚ As long as you outpace the slowest runner, jump up lampposts and squeeze through those barriers, you might survive πŸ’ͺ

Check out the young man on the lamppost at around 2:30 in the videoβ€”talk about a view from above! πŸ‚πŸ

πŸ₯‡ and πŸ₯ˆ for last night at SACA Salt Ayre Papervelo Tuesday Night Series. Fantastic riding from the team, keep active and ensuring we were in the moves all night. With Higgy covering the moves whilst Garry Brown was in the break we thought it would stick. Garry only got caught with 300m to go, so both Adam Rowlandson and I managed to find a good wheel in Shaun Pearson and .vescovi to finish off the job with a Hoppers 1-2 sprint finish.
Fantastic racing as ever at Salt Ayre and a big thanks to On Yer Bike for sponsoring the event and prizes.

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Westfriesland 70.3 Ironman πŸŒπŸŽ‰

What a year for Cade! πŸŽ‰ Another goal smashed and an incredible racing experience at the Westfriesland 70.3 Ironman in the Netherlands covering the course in a fantastic 5 hrs 17 minutes 39 seconds. The race recap….

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Swim: A rolling-start swim of 1.2 miles in the tranquil waters of Hoorn’s old harbour and Markermeer lake. Cade tackled this mostly calm freshwater swim in an impressive 37 minutes, even navigating a slightly choppy mid-section on what is a relatively new discipline to him.

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Bike: The bike course spanned a flat 56 miles with an elevation of just 22 to 50 meters. Smooth, paved roads wound through traditional windmills and charming villages, although the wind and a few cobblestone patches kept it somewhat interesting. Cade powered through after some serious bike training in 2 hours and 48 minutes.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Run: The final leg was a flat, spectator-friendly 13.1 miles on a multi-loop course through Hoorn’s historic city centre, finishing strong with a time of 1 hour and 43 minutes, crossing the line at the city beach amidst beautiful monumental buildings.

Massively proud of Cade for his hard work and dedication throughout this year! πŸ’ͺ He’s taken on some fantastic challenges in 2026 and hit some big goals, and with the unwavering support of Poppy, who’s also a remarkable athlete, the sky’s the limit! Keep going guys πŸ™Œ

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯ Sale Sizzler 5 km 🌟

After a successful year of studying and becoming a Doctor, Issy and I tackled the Sale Sizzler 5 km hosted by . Starting on the track with over 600 runners, we paced the first 1 km at a solid 3:43 pace! The course had its twists and turns, finishing with a fast 350 m on the athletics track. πŸ’ͺ✨

Despite the hot and muggy night, we smashed a solid 19-minute 5 km! Plus, Issy just wrapped up the 70.3 Ironman at Bolton just 10 days ago. Youth and recovery powers - respect! πŸ‘Œ

Next up: Stockport 10 km! πŸ…

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβœ¨ PB Day at Leeds 10 km! πŸŽ‰

First race of the block for at the Leeds 10 km, and she has laid down the foundations with a massive 3-minute PB and a course PB of ⏱️ 4 minutes 17 seconds! πŸŽ–οΈπŸ‘ What makes this achievement even more impressive is that she’s balancing the challenges of training and motherhood with a young child πŸ‘Ά. Being a parent can definitely impact our energy and emotional reserves, but Lorna is proving that determination can overcome any challenge! πŸ’ͺ❀️

Over the past month, we’ve been focusing on structured speed work, and her commitment to the sessions is truly evident. 🌟 This is just the beginning of her journey toward the .marathon.half.10k.tri Chester Marathon later in 2026. Let’s keep progressing, Lorna! πŸš€

🌟 Big day out for Issy at the Bolton 70.3! πŸŒŠπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Last weekend saw Issy tackle the Ironman Bolton 70.3 course head on. After a solid 34-minute swim πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ in the choppy waters of Pennington Flash, she emerged in a strong 8th place in her age group. The bike 🚲 course, spanning 56 miles through Greater Manchester, was tough with wind, but after fueling well, she powered through, finishing in a stellar 3 hours 17 minutes πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸ’¨

The final 13.1-mile run πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ featured challenging ascents, but as an experienced runner she paced the half marathon perfectly in 1 hour 38 minutes, bringing her total time to 5 hours 39 minutes and securing a superb 9th in her age group πŸ™Œ πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Race day was relatively cool, with temperatures ranging from 9Β°C to 16Β°C, adding to the challenge both on and off the bike. The weather made the bike section particularly demanding, but those weekly BRICK and bike sessions paid dividends. πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ

A massive day out with a big result 🎯 after a hard year both training and studying… what’s next???? Let’s Go Dr!!!!! πŸ’ͺ✨ bikecoach
