1hr 28 + a 10 min PB on the Lune! π
James blasted his way around the Lancaster Riverside Half Marathon in a fantastic 1:28:56 - 11th overall and a massive 10 minute PB β°
The race, which starts at the back of the George and Dragon Pub, has a trail vibe as it begins and ends over grassy fields before heading out to the smooth, pedestrianised paths towards Caton and Morecambe. π³ His strong muscular endurance and daily commitment to his multi-disciplined HYROX training truly shone through, with holding an impressive average pace of 4:11 min/km! Super strong in that 19 degree heat and not many runners to draft behind πͺ
He had amazing support on the day from his loving family and even shared the start line with a good friend Ryan, who also finished with a personal best of 1:40!
What a fantastic way to wrap up the weekend! ππ
Weβre now looking forward to a HYROX specific training block and canβt wait to see what other PBs can be achieved along the way! π

π₯ and π₯ for last night at SACA Salt Ayre Papervelo Tuesday Night Series. Fantastic riding from the team, keep active and ensuring we were in the moves all night. With Higgy covering the moves whilst Garry Brown was in the break we thought it would stick. Garry only got caught with 300m to go, so both Adam Rowlandson and I managed to find a good wheel in Shaun Pearson and .vescovi to finish off the job with a Hoppers 1-2 sprint finish.
Fantastic racing as ever at Salt Ayre and a big thanks to On Yer Bike for sponsoring the event and prizes.

πββοΈπ΄ββοΈπββοΈ Westfriesland 70.3 Ironman ππ
What a year for Cade! π Another goal smashed and an incredible racing experience at the Westfriesland 70.3 Ironman in the Netherlands covering the course in a fantastic 5 hrs 17 minutes 39 seconds. The race recapβ¦.
πββοΈ Swim: A rolling-start swim of 1.2 miles in the tranquil waters of Hoornβs old harbour and Markermeer lake. Cade tackled this mostly calm freshwater swim in an impressive 37 minutes, even navigating a slightly choppy mid-section on what is a relatively new discipline to him.
π΄ββοΈ Bike: The bike course spanned a flat 56 miles with an elevation of just 22 to 50 meters. Smooth, paved roads wound through traditional windmills and charming villages, although the wind and a few cobblestone patches kept it somewhat interesting. Cade powered through after some serious bike training in 2 hours and 48 minutes.
πββοΈ Run: The final leg was a flat, spectator-friendly 13.1 miles on a multi-loop course through Hoornβs historic city centre, finishing strong with a time of 1 hour and 43 minutes, crossing the line at the city beach amidst beautiful monumental buildings.
Massively proud of Cade for his hard work and dedication throughout this year! πͺ Heβs taken on some fantastic challenges in 2026 and hit some big goals, and with the unwavering support of Poppy, whoβs also a remarkable athlete, the skyβs the limit! Keep going guys π

π Big day out for Issy at the Bolton 70.3! ππ΄ββοΈπββοΈ
Last weekend saw Issy tackle the Ironman Bolton 70.3 course head on. After a solid 34-minute swim πββοΈ in the choppy waters of Pennington Flash, she emerged in a strong 8th place in her age group. The bike π² course, spanning 56 miles through Greater Manchester, was tough with wind, but after fueling well, she powered through, finishing in a stellar 3 hours 17 minutes π΄ββοΈπ¨
The final 13.1-mile run ππ»ββοΈ featured challenging ascents, but as an experienced runner she paced the half marathon perfectly in 1 hour 38 minutes, bringing her total time to 5 hours 39 minutes and securing a superb 9th in her age group π πββοΈ
Race day was relatively cool, with temperatures ranging from 9Β°C to 16Β°C, adding to the challenge both on and off the bike. The weather made the bike section particularly demanding, but those weekly BRICK and bike sessions paid dividends. π₯πͺ
A massive day out with a big result π― after a hard year both training and studyingβ¦ whatβs next???? Letβs Go Dr!!!!! πͺβ¨ bikecoach
